Multi-layered conduit
The multi-layered conduit is an insulating structure. The multi-layer conduit system forms a thermally protected space that prevents a fluid from changing phase while flowing through the multi-layered conduit. The multi-layered conduit comprises a master pipe, a plurality of coaxial prism structures, a plurality of spoke structures, and a plurality of insulating spaces. The plurality of spoke structures interconnect each of the plurality of coaxial prism structures. The master pipe is a pipe inserts through the plurality of coaxial prism structures such that the combination of the master pipe structure and the plurality of coaxial prism structures form a coaxially oriented composite prism structure. The plurality of spoke structures further forms the plurality of insulating spaces. Each of the plurality of insulating spaces is a gas-filled space that inhibits the transfer of heat through the plurality of coaxial prism structures into the master pipe.

Thermoplastic Blends and Composites for Flexible Pipes
A flexible conduit used for transportation of hydrocarbon fluids for off-shore and on-shore oil and gas applications includes an inner pressure sheath, at least one reinforcing layer at least partially disposed around the pressure sheath, an outer protective sheath at least partially disposed around the at least one reinforcing layer, and optionally a thermally insulating layer disposed between the at least one reinforcing layer and the outer protective sheath. At least one of the inner pressure sheath, outer protective sheath, and the thermally insulating layer is manufactured using a thermoplastic blend (TPB) composition. The TPB compositions disclosed herein are useful for the formation of at least one polymer layer of the thermoplastic umbilical hoses used for transportation of hydrocarbon fluids.
Coated pipeline
A subsea pipeline has a steel pipe surrounded by a thermally-insulating coating system having at least one thermal insulation layer. The thermal insulation layer has a thermally-insulating matrix in which elongate tensile elements of a thermoplastic polymer, such as monofilament yarns, are embedded. The pipe is preheated to promote bonding between the matrix and the elongate elements and between successive layers of the coating system.

A saddle for an insulating support bracket includes an arcuate central portion defining a first end and a second end opposite the first end, at least one vent formed through the arcuate central portion; a first flange portion bent radially inward from the arcuate central portion at the first end, a first fastener hole formed through the first flange portion, wherein the first fastener hole is accessible through the at least one vent; and a second flange portion bend radially inward from the arcuate central portion at the second end, a second fastener hole formed through the second flange portion, wherein the second fastener hole is accessible through the at least one vent.

According to an embodiment, the modular fire-rated conduit assembly comprises two or more duct or conduit sections, each of the duct sections includes an inner duct liner and an outer casing, and a plurality of casing spacers configured to form a thermal insulating cavity between at least a portion of space between the inner duct liner and the outer casing, and the thermal insulating cavity is configured to receive a thermal material, a first exterior flange connector is attached to one end of each of the inner duct liners, a second exterior flange connector attached to another end of each of the inner duct liners, the first and the second exterior flange connectors are configured to form an assembly junction for coupling respective ends of the duct or conduit sections to form a connected run of the conduit or duct sections, and a joint connection end is formed between the exterior flange connector and the outer casing, and the joint connection end is configured to receive a joint insulating material, and further includes a return configured to receive a connection edge of a joint cover, and the joint cover is configured to encapsulate the joint connection ends of adjacent duct sections modules.

A system and method for heating steam sample and chemical sample and feed tubes/lines in a natural gas fired heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) power plant including a tube impedance heater (IH) control system and at least one impedance heated tube having an outer insulation and an electrically conducting inner tube member, the impedance heated tube having an input IH feed power electrical connector and electrically connected at a first connection to the inner tube member, and a return IH power electrical connector electrically connected at a second connection by a first end of a return electrical cable and a first connector and second connector each mechanically and fluidly coupling the first and second connections respectively to the inner tube member to the steam sample or chemical sample or feed tube/line and electrically isolating the first end and second ends.
