Pipe Arrangement Consisting of a Pipe or a Pipe Joint
The invention concerns a pipe arrangement comprising a protective device for protecting against environmental influences, the pipe arrangement comprising: a) a pipe joint which includes at least two pipe ends (1, 2) which are fixed together by means of a mechanical joint (3) and in which the pipe ends (1, 2) and also the mechanical joint are closed with a deformable hollow body (4), or b) a pipe (1) with a pipe opening (14), for example a leak, through which a medium which is disposed within the pipe can escape, wherein the pipe (1) is enclosed by a deformable hollow body where the pipe opening (14) is and wherein the pipe (1) is covered by the hollow body (4) in a predetermined portion on both sides of the opening (14), or c) a pipe having a pipe opening on which a sprinkler of a sprinkler installation is mounted, wherein the pipe (1) and also the sprinkler outlet is enclosed by a deformable hollow body (4) where the sprinkler is fixed to the pipe so that the hollow body (4) surrounds both the pipe end (1) and also the sprinkler outlet and a part of the sprinkler, or d) a pipe of a pipe system, wherein the pipe (1) is formed from two pipe portions which are connected together in positively locking relationship, for example by a welding process, a soldering process, a gluing process or the like, and wherein in the region of the positively locking connection the pipe is enclosed or covered by a deformable hollow body, or e) a pipe of a pipe system, wherein the pipe is enclosed by a deformable hollow body and where the hollow body (4) encloses the pipe (1) the pipe is carried by a suspension (13) which preferably has a material different from the material of the pipe.
DEVICE AND PROCESS FOR THERMAL ISOLATION OF TECHNICAL ELEMENTS
Process for fire resistant protection of the technical elements of a building by means of one or more prefabricated isolation blocks, enabling pre-isolation of a vacant space in the structure of a building. The block comprises an easily modelled fire resistant material and is disposed before pouring the concrete of the structure of the building. The prefabricated block is then opened up in such a manner as to install the technical elements having to be protected from fire.
Syntactic insulator with co-shrinking fillers
A thermally-insulating composite material with co-shrinkage in the form of an insulating material formed by the inclusion of microballoons in a matrix material such that the microballoons and the matrix material exhibit co-shrinkage upon processing. The thermally-insulating composite material can be formed by a variety of microballoon-matrix material combinations such as polymer microballoons in a preceramic matrix material. The matrix materials generally contain fine rigid fillers.
INSULATED TUBULAR EXHAUST APPARATUS AND METHODS
A bent tube with a sleeve of insulation and a protective outer metallic layer and related methods of manufacturing.
Exhaust sealing joint
A sealing device for an exhaust manifold in a vehicle having longitudinally overlapping first and second components separated by a gap includes a plurality of backing rings for positioning in the gap between the first and second components. An intumescent mat is positioned between and abuts the backing rings. A retainer connected to the first and second components covers the gap to prevent the backing rings and mat from exiting the gap while allowing for relative longitudinal and rotational movement between the first and second components.
Surface treatment for tape adhesion and ultraviolet stability
A surface-treated polymer film is disclosed. The film has a polymer substrate having a first surface and an opposing second surface and a primer applied to the first surface of the substrate. The primer is a cross-linked acrylic polymer or other suitable polymer. A method of insulating a surface with an insulation material constructed from the surface-treated polymer is also disclosed.
FIRE-RESISTANT CASING FOR A MEMBER
In order to provide passive fire protection for a member, casing portions that are physically discrete from each other and from the member are made by injection molding of fluid fire-resistant material (which may be intumescent), and allowing the material to cure. The inner surfaces of the casing portions are complementary in shape to a portion of the outer surface of the member. The casing portions collectively form a casing that surrounds the outer surface of the member, with their inner surfaces abutting against the outer surface of the member. The casing portions are secured to the member by a removable strap or collar, an adhesive, or both.
Removable and reusable insulation wrap for pipe, hoses, and fixtures
A reusable insulation wrap may include a multilayer insulation member having at least one stretchable layer adapted to resist moisture and sized to closely wrap around an article, at least one insulative layer adapted to accommodate deformation of the at least one stretchable layer, and at least one protective layer adapted to be abrasion and moisture resistant and prevent damage to at least one of the at least one stretchable layer and the at least one insulative layer. A releasable fastener may be configured to close the multilayer insulation member in releasable engagement around the article; whereby, the wrap may be configured to stretch around and fit snugly on the article.
MINERAL WOOL INSULATION
Mineral wool insulation products are provided. The mineral wool insulation includes a plurality of mineral wool fibers and a wax emulsion applied to the mineral wool fibers. The wax emulsion imparts excellent water resistance and thermal performance properties to the mineral wool insulation.
Fire protection for pipes
A fire protection product for use as fire protection of a pipe (10), comprising an active layer (11) of a material containing an active substance which, when subjected to heat, expands and undergoes one or more endothermic reaction processes, the active layer (11) enclosing the pipe (10) on at least a length of the pipe to be protected; a plurality of distance pieces (12) extending a distance outwardly from the active layer (11); and an outer tubular cladding (13) supported by the distance pieces (12) and enclosing the pipe (10), the active layer (11) and the distance pieces (12). The active layer (11), the distance pieces (12) and the outer tubular cladding (13) define a space (15) with a volume, which can accommodate the active substance (11) after the active substance (11) has expanded. The active substance can be rubber based or polymer based.
