Syntactic Insulator with Co-Shrinking Fillers
20190152868 · 2019-05-23 ·

A thermally-insulating composite material with co-shrinkage in the form of an insulating material formed by the inclusion of microballoons in a matrix material such that the microballoons and the matrix material exhibit co-shrinkage upon processing. The thermally-insulating composite material can be formed by a variety of microballoon-matrix material combinations such as polymer microballoons in a preceramic matrix material. The matrix materials generally contain fine rigid fillers.

PRE-FABRICATED MODULAR FIRE-RATED CONDUIT ASSEMBLY

A vapour barrier lamina, particularly for acoustic insulation of a pipe or duct, including a fiberglass moisture-proof foil layer, an acoustic insulation layer adjacent a first side of the moisture-proof layer, and a protection layer adjacent a second side of the moisture-proof layer. The vapour barrier lamina may also include a structural layer located between the moisture-proof foil layer and the acoustic insulation layer, for additional protection, and the structural layer may be a fiberglass screen.

PAPER-SCRIM-FOIL CORE HAVING EXTRUDED POLYPROPYLENE RESIN

Embodiments of the invention provide a facer used as protective covering for an insulation product. The facer may include a metallic foil layer, a scrim layer, and a paper layer positioned adjacent the scrim layer. The facer may also include a polypropylene material forming a polypropylene layer positioned adjacent the paper layer and heat bonded to an exposed major surface of the paper layer such that a portion of the polypropylene extends into pores of the paper layer to assist in coupling the polypropylene material to the paper layer.

Pipe having resistance to both fire and cold
10240696 · 2019-03-26 · ·

The present invention relates to a pipe having resistance to both flame and cold, where the pipe has good flame resistance to prevent flame or smoke from spreading through the pipe penetrating into the floor or wall in the case of a fire and also has good smoke resistance to prevent deterioration in the physical properties of the pipe even in the cold weather.

FIRE RESISTANT FLEXIBLE HOSE
20190078708 · 2019-03-14 ·

A flexible fire resistant hose assembly having a multilayer structure in which a radially inner fluoroplastic liner tube comprises a convolution or groove at an external facing surface. The inner liner tube is surrounded by a plurality of thermally insulating layers and a braided or woven reinforcement layer. Such layers are then encapsulated by at least one radially rubber cover layer. A hose assembly end fitting arrangement is also provided in which an end fitting is crimped to a hose end via a two component end fitting and a portion of the end fitting is surrounded by rubber.

Paper-scrim-foil core having extruded polypropylene resin

Embodiments of the invention provide a facer used as protective covering for an insulation product. The facer may include a metallic foil layer, a scrim layer, and a paper layer positioned adjacent the scrim layer. Fabric jacket to prevent nonmetallic equipment from extreme heat, external damage and fire

A protective fabric jacket for placement on an object to be protected from excessive heat includes a first layer; a second layer; and an intermediate spacer fabric layer that is disposed between the first layer and the second layer. The first and second layers are attached to the intermediate spacer fabric layer to form a layered structure. The intermediate spacer fabric layer comprises a flexible honeycomb or octagonal shaped spacer fabric that has a plurality of cells defined therein. The protective fabric jacket also includes a settable material that disposed within the cells and includes a cementitious mixture and one or more organic polymers and is settable to a hardened material.

A CONNECTOR PIECE AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CONNECTOR PIECE FOR VENTILATION DUCTS RESISTING HIGH TEMPERATURES
20240263828 · 2024-08-08 ·

Ventilation duct connector piece for connection with ventilation ducts or connector pieces, formed by two complementing parts (10a, 10) providing a flow space (4) and having at least two open ends (12), each part (10a, 10b) comprising a fibre layer (2) and an inner layer (3), wherein the fibre layer (2) comprises mineral fibres and a binder, compressed into a desired shape, the fibres having a melting point over 800 degrees Celsius, the inner layer (3) is a stainless-steel foil having a thickness of 0.01-0.3 mm, facing the flow space (4).

A method of manufacturing the connector piece wherein the steel foil is pressed into two complementing parts, joined along its edges; a binder solution is sprayed on a fibre layer and compressed into two complementing parts under heated conditions, so water evaporates, whereafter two fibre parts are positioned on the two steel foil parts.

FIRE PROTECTION FOR PIPES
20180320810 · 2018-11-08 ·

A fire protection product for use as fire protection of a pipe (10), comprising an active layer (11) of a material containing an active substance which, when subjected to heat, expands and undergoes one or more endothermic reaction processes, the active layer (11) enclosing the pipe (10) on at least a length of the pipe to be protected; a plurality of distance pieces (12) extending a distance outwardly from the active layer (11); and an outer tubular cladding (13) supported by the distance pieces (12) and enclosing the pipe (10), the active layer (11) and the distance pieces (12).
