Method of installing exhaust tube
A method of installing an exhaust tube is implemented by inserting an exhaust tube into an exhaust pipe that leads from the inside of a building to the outside thereof. Utilizing an already-placed exhaust pipe, a new exhaust tube is inserted into this exhaust pipe. The exhaust tube is installed according to a procedure of: performing, on the inside of the building, an operation of inserting a new exhaust tube into the already-placed exhaust pipe; performing, on the outside of the building, an operation of fixing the inserted exhaust tube to the exhaust pipe; and performing, on the inside of the building, an operation of connecting the fixed exhaust tube to an exhaust vent of a combustion apparatus.
PIPE REPAIR APPARATUS AND METHOD
A pipe repair apparatus and method of repairing a main pipe and a lateral pipe is provided. The apparatus includes a packer assembly having a main bladder body with a cylindrical shape extending radially from and along the first axis for inflating in the main pipe. The packer assembly also has a lateral bladder body with a cylindrical shape extending radially from and along a second axis transverse to the first axis for inflating in the lateral pipe. A main liner is disposed about the main bladder body for adhering to the inner surface of the main pipe to repair the main pipe in response to the main bladder body being inflated. Similarly, a lateral liner is disposed about the lateral bladder body for adhering to the inside surface of the lateral pipe to repair the lateral pipe in response to the lateral bladder body being inflated.
Pipeline relining
A process and system for applying a liner to an inner surface of a pipeline uses an inversion technique to apply the liner. This involves arranging the liner into everted and non-everted portions and driving the non-everted portion through the pipeline such that it everts and is applied to the inner surface of the pipeline. At least first and second pipeline vehicles are used to drive the non-everted portion of the liner through the pipeline.
Means and method for lining a pipe
A method and means for repairing the junction of a main and lateral pipe are provided. A repair assembly includes a launcher device, a bladder assembly surrounding the launcher device, and a liner assembly surrounding the bladder assembly. The bladder assembly is frangibly connected to the launcher device to maintain the position of the bladder assembly relative to the launcher device during transport and positioning of the assembly. Likewise, the liner assembly, which includes main and lateral liner members, is frangibly connected to the bladder assembly. The frangible connections allow the position of the repair assembly to be maintained. The frangible connections can be broken, such as by inflation and/or tearing or pulling apart of the components of the repair assembly. Thus, the invention provides a way to mitigate the movement of components of the repair assembly during transport and positioning of the repair assembly.
Controlled bending device and pipe junction sealing packer incorporating same
A controlled bending device in the form of an elongate member including a series of blocks configured to direct and/or control an extent of bending of the elongate member. The present invention further relates to a sealing packer for use in installing a flexible liner into a junction between a main pipe and a branch pipe, the sealing packer incorporating the bending device in a flexible lateral arm thereof to facilitate guidance of the flexible lateral arm into the branch pipe when the sealing packer is inserted (pushed or pulled) through the main pipe.
PACKER FOR PIPE AND SEWER REHABILITATION
A packer for pipe and sewer rehabilitation, having a front and a rear flange, between which an expandable sleeve which can be filled with a pressure medium and a stabilization arrangement which runs within the sleeve between the front and the rear flange are arranged, wherein the stabilization arrangement has: a stabilization portion which has a first flexibility and covers the greater part of the total length between the flanges and directly adjoins the rear flange, and a steering portion which extends from the stabilization portion to the front flange, wherein the steering portion has a second, greater flexibility than the stabilization portion.
System for curing and/or inspecting a pipeline lining and method for curing and/or inspecting a pipeline lining
The invention relates to a system (10) for curing and/or inspecting a pipeline lining (30) positioned in a pipeline (20), the pipeline lining (30) comprising an outer plastics material layer and an inner fiber composite layer, the fiber composite layer comprising a plastics material which is to be cured and/or which is at least partially cured. In accordance with the invention, the system (10) comprises at least one high-frequency unit (40) which comprises at least one microwave-generator unit (41) and at least one microwave-transmitting antenna (42) for curing a plastics material which is to be cured, at least the at least one microwave-transmitting antenna (42) being movable in the pipeline (20) by means of a transporting device (60).
IRRADIATION DEVICE
A plurality of flexible substrates 10 disposed in a spiral at regular intervals on a columnar surface and provided with a plurality of light sources; and the same number of flexible substrates 20 disposed in a reverse spiral. Both substrates are disposed to cause one end portion of each substrate to cross each other and also to cause the other end portion to cross the other end portion of each corresponding substrate in accordance with a spiral shape. Both substrates are rotatably coupled to each other in crossing areas at both end portions and other crossing areas where they cross each other in accordance with the spiral shape.
