Methods and apparatus for sterile connections
An apparatus or method for forming a sterile connection. The apparatus includes at least two sterile tubes each disposed within a flange. Each flange has an external face that completely covers the mouth of the tube. Each flange is designed to be displaced when force is applied to the tube to move the tubes toward one another such that the external face of each flange is displaced radially or axially outwards away from the mouth of the tube. When the external faces are displaced, the external face of each flange opens and tubes connect and form a sterile connection therebetween.
SINGLE-USE DISCONNECT FLUID COUPLINGS
Some fluid coupling devices described herein are configured for use in fluid systems for purposes of providing a single-use, disconnection functionality that can substantially limit fluid spillage when being disconnected. In some embodiments, the coupling portions cannot be functionally reconnected to each other after being disconnected from each other.
Aseptic connectors with integrated wireless connectivity
The present disclosure relates to aseptic connectors with integrated wireless connectivity. For example, an example system may include a removable clamp configured to secure a first portion of an aseptic connector to a second portion of the aseptic connector. The removable clamp may include a housing, a controller disposed within the housing, a rechargeable battery disposed within the housing, a wireless radio disposed within the housing, and a sensor plug receptacle configured to receive a sensor plug coupled to a sensor of the aseptic connector. The controller may be configured to determine a sensor output of the sensor and to transmit the output using the wireless radio.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR A REDUCER WITH AN INTEGRATED SEAL
The present disclosure is related to bioprocessing devices, systems, and methods, and particularly to sanitary connections for bioprocessing. The devices, systems, and methods described herein can relate to the sanitary connection of flow fittings, such as reducers, with considerations for ease of assembly and sealing.
Aseptic Coupling Devices
An aseptic coupling device includes: a main body defining a front face; a membrane coupled to the front face, the membrane including a first portion coupled to the front face and a second portion folded over on the first portion; and a low friction member positioned between the first and second portions of the membrane.
Reverse barb for medical biopharma tubing
A fluid connector for securing a length of flexible tubing to a barbed fluid fitting is disclosed. The flexible tubing extends along a longitudinal direction. The fluid connector includes a single piece clamping body have a plurality of generally cylindrical clamping members spaced apart along the longitudinal direction, and a clasp. The clamping body defines a circumferential opening, and is flexed to further open the circumferential opening and receive the length of the flexible tubing over the barbed fluid fitting within the clamping body. The clasp closes the clamping body by closing the circumferential opening after the length of the flexible tubing over the barbed fluid fitting is received within the clamping body to form a fluid tight connection between the flexible tubing and the barbed fluid fitting. A fluid system including the length of flexible tubing, the barbed fluid fitting, and the fluid connector is also disclosed.
Luer connectors
Luer connector including a primary Luer male connector, having a secondary female section extending from a top distal part of the primary Luer male connector back towards a proximal part thereof, the primary Luer male connector including a first inner fluid flow channel extending from a proximal end thereof to the secondary female section, the primary Luer male connector being configured to mate with a primary Luer female connector having a secondary male section including a second inner fluid flow channel.
Connection Clamping Device
A connection clamping device (21; 61; 81; 131; 151) arranged for securing a flexible tube (1) to a barbed end (5b) of a tube connector (5), whereby the barbed end (5b) comprises a barb (9) and the tube connector during connection is arranged to protrude into an end of the flexible tube (1), characterized in that said connection clamping device comprises two sections (23a, 23b) which, during connection when the tube connector protrudes into an end of the flexible tube, are arranged to be connected and locked to each other by a locking mechanism (33a,33b,34a,34b; 63a, 63b, 64a, 64b) around the tube connector (5) and the flexible tube (1), such that the flexible tube (1) is compressed against the tube connector (5) by a rib (41a, 41b) provided on the inner circumference of the connection clamping device.
A Tamper-Evident Cover
A tamper-evident cover for a component, the component comprising: first and second portions; and an actuator mechanism for moving the first and second portions or allowing the first and second portions to move relative to one another; wherein the cover comprises: a cover portion defining a cavity configured to receive the actuator mechanism of the component so as to prevent access to the actuator mechanism from the exterior of the cover portion; and a retention barb connected to the cover portion and housed within the cavity formed by the cover portion such that it is inaccessible from the exterior of the cover portion, the retention barb being configured to engage with the component so as to retain the cover portion over the actuator mechanism.
