ASEPTIC CONNECTOR FOR FLUID CONDUITS

An aseptic connector includes first and second matable housings each comprising a plurality of connectors for fluid conduits. The fluid conduits enter the housings and may be force-fitted onto barbs or flanges on one side of the connectors, or may instead be molded directly onto the connectors. When the housings are joined, the opposite sides of the connectors mate to form fluid seals, thereby establishing fluid pathways between now-connected sets of tubes.

CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN MEDICAL FLUID LINES
20220296873 · 2022-09-22 ·

A connector assembly for connection and disconnection between ports of fluid lines for administering fluids into a human body from a route other than the oral route. The connector assembly includes a catheter dock, a cap removal dock, a fluid line dock, and a new cap dock. The catheter dock can receive an inlet port of a catheter secured by a catheter cap. The cap removal dock can aseptically remove the catheter cap from the inlet port. The catheter dock can be switched consecutively between the cap removal dock, the fluid line dock, and the new cap dock. Upon removal of the catheter cap, the catheter dock can be switched to the fluid line dock, and the fluid can flow from the fluid line to the catheter. Upon administering the liquid, the catheter dock can be switched from the fluid line dock to the new cap dock, wherein a new catheter cap is secured into the inlet port under aseptic conditions.

The present disclosure discloses a PEX-A pipe, the pipe wall of the PEX-A pipe includes a PEX-A antibacterial layer, a PEX-A main body layer, and an anti-ultraviolet (UV) layer that are sequentially attached from inside to outside. The anti-UV layer is attached to the outer side of the PEX-A main body layer to enhance the weather resistance and aging resistance and prolong the service life of the pipe. The PEX-A antibacterial layer is attached to the inner side of the PEX-A main body layer to inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria in water in the pipe and improve the quality of drinking water.

FLUID COUPLINGS

Some fluid coupling devices described herein are configured for use in fluid systems for purposes of providing a single-use, aseptic disconnection functionality that can substantially limit fluid spillage when being disconnected. In some embodiments, the coupling portions cannot be functionally reconnected to each other after being disconnected from each other.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE AUTOMATED OPENING OF A STERILE TUBING WELD
20220065365 · 2022-03-03 ·

A system and method for automatically opening a heat bonded connection site between two conjoined tubing segments of a medical fluid path is provided. A pair of rollers is utilized to draw the connection site of the conjoined tubing segments between the rollers to compress the connection site with sufficient force to open the connection site. A guide in the form of an elongated groove is provided in a support surface of the system that properly aligns the seal line axis of the conjoined tubing segments relative to the rollers.
