MONITOR POSITION ADJUSTMENT BASED ON APPLICATION METADATA

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to automatic monitor position adjustment. An indication that an application is being launched is received. A preferred monitor position for the application is determined by referencing a data store mapping preferred monitor positions to respective metadata attributes, where the preferred monitor position for the application is determined based on the preferred monitor position being mapped to a first metadata attribute associated with the application within the data store. An actuator associated with the monitor is then instructed to adjust the position of the monitor to the preferred monitor position.

Compact Electronic Device with Thermal Management

This application is directed to a passively-cooled electronic device including a housing, a plurality of electronic assemblies and a plurality of thermally conductive parts. The electronic assemblies are enclosed in the housing, and include a first electronic assembly and a second electronic assembly. The first and second electronic assemblies are disposed proximately to each other within the housing, and the second electronic assembly is substantially sensitive to heat, including heat generated by operation of the first electronic assembly. The thermally conductive parts are coupled between the first electronic assembly and the housing, and configured to create a first plurality of heat conduction paths to conduct the heat generated by the first electronic assembly away from the second electronic assembly without using a fan. At least a subset of the thermally conductive parts mechanically supports one or both of the first and second electronic assemblies.

ARTICULATING STABILIZER ARM WITH ADJUSTABLE LENGTH
20200214792 · 2020-07-09 ·

A reusable flexible arm stabilizes tissues during surgical procedures. The stabilizer arm switches between a flexible state for conforming to a desired curvature and a rigid state for maintain a desired positioning. A suspension length provided by the stabilizer arm is also adjustable. The arm has an articulating portion with successive articulating links each having a central passage. A length adjustable portion has successive length-adjustable links each having a central passage. A tension cable extends through the central passages between a proximal one of the length-adjustable links and a distal one of the articulating links. A base member captures the length-adjustable links at a position corresponding to a desired extension length of the arm. A control mechanism is movable between a retracted position and an extended position to selectably separate the captured length-adjustable links, thereby adjusting a tension in the tension cable and a rigidity of the stabilizer arm.

LiDAR hinged mount

The invention is a mounting bracket particularly suited for mounting monitoring equipment in underground mines. The mounting bracket comprises a wall mounting plate and a levelling bracket removably attachable to the wall mounting plate. A first hinge member on one of the wall mounting plate or the levelling bracket and a second hinge member on the other of the wall mounting plate or the levelling bracket together form a hinge that engages between the wall mounting plate and the levelling bracket allowing the levelling bracket to be swung down to reduce it's profile or to be removed entirely. A locking screw locks the hinge to prevent hinged movement between the levelling bracket and the wall mounting plate when in use.
