Fruit slicer and juicer apparatus and method
A handheld device that permits slicing and juicing a fruit in two steps of slicing and juicing. The device includes a cradle portion, a squeezer portion, and a blade assembly all joined at a common hinge. A lemon or other unsliced fruit is placed in the device cradle portion, and in a first slicing step, the user grasps a blade handle to rotate a blade into the fruit. In the second juicing step, the user grasps a handle of the squeezer portion and rotates the squeezer portion into the fruit to squeeze juice from the fruit. A funnel is provided to collect the juice. It is not necessary to slice lemons or other fruit with a knife before juicing, or to touch sliced fruit.

The invention relates to a squeezing machine of the type in which the juice is obtained in a squeezing unit comprising at least one male drum (5) and at least one female drum, the female drum (4) having recesses for holding the fruit and the male drum having protrusions that insert in the recesses of the female drum to catch the fruit, the squeezing unit (2) and other auxiliary elements are joined to each other, preferably by a casing, such that they can engage and be released from the drive element (1) as a single block.

MULTIPURPOSE FOOD PROCESSOR
The present technology provides a device, such as a food processor with interchangeable components to allow the device to serve as a juicer, pasta maker, slicer, grinder, and frozen dessert maker. The device driver receives components that attach to the outlet of the device driver via a screwed connection or other suitable connection. The device drives a central shaft connected to interchangeable components that mix pasta ingredients, drive an extrusion auger, drive a rotating slicer, or perform any other suitable functions. The components may extrude pasta, juiced pulp, frozen desserts, or ground meat. The components may receive food products and auger the food products via a tube or cylinder via a helical screwed surface of the auger. Other components drive a food slicer or a meat grinder. By changing the components connected to the drive motor of the device, five different food processing functions may be utilized.

An apparatus for enzymatic inactivation of puree, or juice, from vegetable or animal food, having a treatment section of food of vegetable origin obtaining a treated product. The treated product exiting from the treatment section is directed towards an extraction section. The treated product enters the extraction section at a temperature T.sub.0. The apparatus also has a storage and recirculation section having an enzymatic inactivation circuit crossed by a hot product at a temperature T.sub.2 normally about 85° C.-90° C. The main product present in the extraction section is struck, near the sieve, or directly on its surface, by a flow of hot product coming from the enzymatic inactivation section. The mixture so obtained in the extraction section has at least one part of inactivated product and is then discharged through an outlet.

System for Extracting a Substance from a Commodity
A system 400 for obtaining a substance from a commodity has a first apparatus 420 with first 422 and second 424 openings, a device 426 for moving the commodity through the first apparatus, and at least one blade 428 for shearing the commodity. The at least one blade 428 is positioned between the first opening 422 and the second opening 424. A second apparatus 440 has a first opening 442 and a second opening 444, with the first opening 442 being fluidly connected to the second opening 424 of the first apparatus 420. The second apparatus 440 includes a device 446 for moving the sheared commodity from the second apparatus first opening 442 to the second opening 444. A third apparatus 460 obtains the substance from the sheared commodity, including a separator 460 having a first opening 462 fluidly connected to the second opening 444 of the second apparatus 440.
System for Extracting a Substance from a Commodity
A system 400 for obtaining a substance from a commodity has a first apparatus 420 with first 422 and second 424 openings, a device 426 for moving the commodity through the first apparatus, and at least one blade 428 for shearing the commodity. The at least one blade 428 is positioned between the first opening 422 and the second opening 424. A second apparatus 440 has a first opening 442 and a second opening 444, with the first opening 442 being fluidly connected to the second opening 424 of the first apparatus 420. The second apparatus 440 includes a device 446 for moving the sheared commodity from the second apparatus first opening 442 to the second opening 444. A third apparatus 460 obtains the substance from the sheared commodity, including a separator 460 having a first opening 462 fluidly connected to the second opening 444 of the second apparatus 440.
