An apparatus includes a head portion, an undercarriage portion, and a telescopic portion configured to adjustably move into a plurality of different lengths. A first end of the head portion is rotatably attached to a first end of the undercarriage portion and a second end of the undercarriage portion is rotatably attached to a first end of the telescopic portion. A second end of the head portion is rotatably attached to a second end of the telescopic portion. In a first position, the telescopic portion has a first length of the plurality of different lengths and the head portion and the undercarriage portion form a first angle. In a second position, the telescopic portion has a second length of the plurality of different lengths and the head portion and the undercarriage portion form a second angle different from the first angle.

High load display support system

A support system for a display device includes a first arm configured to extend from a support surface. A second arm is rotatably connected to the first arm. The second arm has a range of movement relative to the first arm. A tilt head is rotatably connected to the second arm and configured to connect to a display. A first biasing member is positioned in the second arm and configured to provide a first counterbalancing force to the second arm to offset a load of the display. A second biasing member is positioned in the second arm and configured to provide a second counterbalancing force to the second arm to offset the load of the display. A lockout mechanism is configured to disengage the second biasing member and eliminate the second counterbalancing force through at least a portion of the range of movement.

LOCKING RELEASE MECHANISM FOR AN ARTICULATED SUPPORT ARM

Various embodiments concern locking release mechanisms that allow an articulated support arm to be moved between various vertical orientations. A locking release mechanism may include a handle release mechanism positioned within the handle of the articulated support arm, and a gas spring release mechanism positioned within the body of the articulated support arm. The articulated support arm can include a gas spring that remains locked until the handle release mechanism is activated, e.g. by applying pressure to a grip actuator. Other embodiments concern cable management techniques for articulated support arms. Oftentimes, an articulated support arm will include cables routed through the arm that are configured to support an attachment. For example, the cable(s) may be adapted for audio signals, video signals, power, etc. The cable(s) can be readily cleaned and/or serviced when routed through an articulated support arm composed of one or more removable pieces.

A support system for a display device includes a first arm configured to extend from a support surface. A second arm is rotatably connected to the first arm. The second arm has a range of movement relative to the first arm. A ring housing is rotatably connected to the second arm. A tilt ring is moveably connected to the ring housing and configured to connect to a display. An adjustment mechanism is configured to move the tilt ring relative to the ring housing to modify the frictional engagement of the tilt ring and the ring housing.

Hinge mechanism of a device mount
11425830 · 2022-08-23 · ·

A device mount mounts a display with an aspect ratio greater than or less than 1:1. A camera is integrated into the device mount at a position above a top edge of the display. A hinge of the device mount rotates the mounted display. A mounting plate of the hinge couples the hinge to the device mount, and a shuttle of the hinge couples the display to the hinge to rotate the display between a landscape mode and a portrait mode. The hinge is configured such that rotation of the display from landscape mode into portrait mode translates a center of the display away from the camera on a vertical axis and rotation of the display back to landscape mode translates the center of the display towards the camera on the vertical axis.
