PRESSURE TANK

A pressure tank includes a resin liner, a base, a seal, and a collar. The resin liner contains fluid therein. The resin liner has a tubular portion via which an inside of the resin liner communicates with an outside of the resin liner. The base includes a supply/discharge hole in which the tubular portion is inserted. The seal is provided between the tubular portion and the base in the supply/discharge hole. The collar has a through-hole and inserted into the tubular portion.

A high-pressure tank includes a first reinforcing layer and a second reinforcing layer. The first reinforcing layer is a layer obtained by joining dome members to respective end portions of a cylinder member, the dome members being a pair, and an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder member is exposed to a storage space that stores gas. A first resin layer covers the cylinder member between the first reinforcing layer and the second reinforcing layer. The first resin layer is less permeable to the gas in a thickness direction than the first reinforcing layer.

HYDROGEN STORAGE TANK WITH LEAK MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONALITY

A hydrogen storage tank has a composite laminate wall, a hydrogen-porous layer in contact with the outer surface of the composite laminate wall and a hydrogen-non-porous layer in contact with the outer surface of the hydrogen-porous layer, the hydrogen-non-porous layer having an output port for venting hydrogen which passes through the composite laminate wall and the hydrogen-porous layer from the interior of the tank. The tank allows hydrogen which leaks through the composite laminate wall to be collected and re-used. The invention also allows for the rate of hydrogen leakage from the tank to be measured, providing a measure of the structural integrity of the tank.

HIGH-PRESSURE HYDROGEN TANK

A high-pressure hydrogen tank includes a metal circular cylinder configured to store high-pressure hydrogen therein, a cap part configured to cover each of opposite end portions of the metal circular cylinder, an outer cylinder surrounding an outer periphery of a circular-cylindrical portion of the metal circular cylinder, and a fastening part configured to fix the cap part to the outer cylinder.

A pressure vessel includes a liner including a cylinder part and side parts provided at both ends of the cylinder part, each side part having a dome shape, and a carbon fiber layer including a first hoop layer surrounding a part of an outer circumferential surface of the cylinder part and second hoop layers surrounding other parts of the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder part, each of the second hoop layers having a thickness different from a thickness of the first hoop layer.

Bladder surge suppressor

A bladder and attachment member assembly for use with a container comprises an elastomeric gas-filled bladder comprising a valve stem. A first attachment member is disposed over the valve stem within the container with the bladder. A second attachment member is disposed over the valve stem and over the first attachment member. The second attachment member is outside of the container interposed between the valve stem and a container opening. Rotational movement of the valve stem is fixed relative to one or both of the first and second attachment members. In an example, the valve stem comprises one or more surface features that register with one or more surface features of the first and/or second attachment member to thereby fix relative valve stem rotational movement. In an example, the valve stem surface feature is a flat surface that registers with a flat surface of the second attachment member inside diameter.

High pressure tank

A high pressure tank is provided. The high pressure tank provides improved strength and stiffness by optimizing a laminating pattern and a structure of a fiber reinforced plastic that forms a dome portion of the high pressure tank used in a fuel tank of a fuel cell vehicle. The fiber reinforced plastic having relatively high strength is mixed and used for a weak portion of a dome portion of a support layer of a high pressure tank where stress caused by internal pressure of the high pressure tank is concentrated. In particular, bursting strength and stiffness is increased. The usage amount of the fiber reinforced plastic, the number of windings and a thickness by directly reinforcing a weak point of the dome portion are reduced. Accordingly, manufacturing costs of the high pressure tank are reduced.
