Enhanced vehicle refueling

Data are collected on at least one of a coolant temperature of a vehicle, an atmospheric ozone level, and air quality. A refueling time is determined based on the collected data. The vehicle is moved to a fueling station based on the refueling time.

Method and apparatus for determining a concentration of aerosol particles in a carrier gas

A method and apparatus for determining a concentration of aerosol particles in a carrier gas. The method comprises providing an aerosol having aerosol particles in a carrier gas comprising at least one condensable component; introducing at least part of the aerosol into a chamber of a pressure-rated vessel, wherein the chamber is delimited by at least one wall adjoining the chamber and set to a temperature which is above a saturation temperature of the at least one condensable component; subsequently removing part of the aerosol from the chamber, as a result of which a decrease in pressure in the chamber occurs, as a result of which the at least one condensable component condenses at least partly on the aerosol particles; and determining a concentration of aerosol particles in the carrier gas during removal of the part of the aerosol from the chamber.

A computer-controlled method of automatically purging and precooling a hydrogen fuel line prior to transferring hydrogen fuel from a source to a storage tank includes purging moisture from a hydrogen fuel line. The hydrogen fuel line is configured to fluidically couple a hydrogen tanker storage tank and a fueling station storage tank, the hydrogen storage tanker storage tank and the fueling station storage tank configured to store liquid hydrogen. The method also includes pre-cooling the hydrogen fuel line, causing hydrogen fuel to flow through the hydrogen fuel line to re-fill the fueling station storage tank, and expelling residual hydrogen fuel from the hydrogen fuel line when the fueling station storage tank re-filling is complete.

METHOD OF CONTROLLING HYDROGEN FILLING APPARATUS AND HYDROGEN FILLING APPARATUS

Gaseous fueling system

A computer-implemented method of supplying a fuel gas to a fueling system is disclosed. The method may include pre-fill inerting the fueling system; leak-checking the fueling system; charging a pilot subsystem with the fuel gas; filling the fueling system with the fuel gas; and post-fill inerting the fueling system. In many implementations, the fueling system may be associated with a boat. The fuel gas may be hydrogen and may be supplied to a fuel cell that converts the hydrogen to electrical energy to power a propulsion system of the boat.
