One or more coupling members affixed to the lower surface of the base plate wherein the one or more coupling members are positioned to form a frictional fit with the collar of the gas cylinder. A vertical member affixed at the center of said base plate and a handle rotatably attached to the vertical member such that the handle is present above the upper surface of the base plate and the handle rotates about the vertical member.

The present disclosure provides systems and methods for producing a hydrogen storage vessel that is lightweight. The hydrogen storage vessel may comprise an inner body and an outer body structured as concentric rings with a conic interface. The vessel may have four material layers, including a barrier layer, an insulation layer, a fiber knit, and an abrasion layer. The fiber knit may be braided to trap the hydrogen, as the barrier layer may not be completely impermeable. Additionally, the fiber braid may be clamped to the outer body, enabling pressure pushing on the inner body to wedge and seal the storage vessel.

The central plate has a height and width, both of which are approximately equal to or less than the respective height and width of the pressure vessel body, and an aperture. The first and second flanges are located at opposed first and second sides of the central plate, respectively, are oriented substantially perpendicular to the central plate, and are configured to extend toward the body. The central plate has a cut-out portion that borders at least one of the first and second flanges.

A plastic tank liner for the storage of a pressurized fluid includes: two ends; two elongated cylindrical sections, the two cylindrical sections having different diameters; and one connecting section connecting the two cylindrical sections. The connecting section has a concave portion connected to the cylindrical section of smaller diameter, and a convex portion adjacent to the cylindrical section of larger diameter. The convex portion has an isotensoid shape. Two convex domes are located on both ends of the plastic tank liner so that each of the domes is connected to a different cylindrical section.

The central plate has an aperture therethrough configured to accept a portion of the boss neck. The first and second flanges are located at opposed first and second sides of the central plate, respectively, and are configured to extend toward the body. The assembly occupies no more than a rectangular prism space defined by the length, a width equal to the diameter, and a height equal to the diameter of the substantially cylindrical body.
