Each of the carrier beams may comprise a cap-end and a base-end. A cap-end bolt may be threaded into the cap-end and a base-end bolt may be threaded into the base-end. The carrier cap may comprise a laterally-oriented keyhole access opening that may be configured to mate with the cap-end of the carrier beams and the carrier base may comprise an axially-oriented bolt passage that may be configured to pass the base-end bolt of the carrier beams. The carrier base, the carrier cap, and the carrier beams may collectively define a cylindrical receiving space that may include the calibration gas storage cylinder and may define a longitudinal containment height. The carrier base may comprise a regulator-receiving depression and a detector-receiving depression that may each comprise open sides facing the carrier cap.
Foot for a portable pressurized gas cylinder
Provided is a foot ring secured to a tank having a collar, The foot ring includes a base having an inner and outer surface, a central portion, and an outer peripheral portion, a plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable longitudinal lock tabs extending around the base for securing the foot ring to the tank, and a plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable rotational lock tabs extending around the base for preventing rotational movement of the foot ring relative to the tank. Each of the circumferentially spaced deflectable longitudinal lock tabs have a first projection and a catch extending from the first projection for engaging a flange of the collar, and each of the circumferentially spaced deflectable rotational lock tabs have a second projection configured to be received in a respective notch in the flange.
Vehicle equipped with high pressure gas container
A vehicle is provided with an interior chamber apart from a passenger compartment, and a container chamber in which a high pressure gas container is accommodated. A heat generating body is accommodated in the interior chamber. Further, in the vehicle, there are formed introduction ports through which atmospheric air is introduced into the interior chamber, a communication passage that enables communication between the interior chamber and the container chamber, and a lead-out port through which the atmospheric air is led out from the container chamber. The atmospheric air that is introduced into the interior chamber through the introduction ports flows into the container chamber via the communication passage, and furthermore, is led out to the exterior of the container chamber from the lead-out port.
Sealing apparatus for high-pressure tank and high-pressure tank comprising same
The present invention relates to a sealing apparatus for a high-pressure tank and a high-pressure tank comprising same, wherein the sealing apparatus comprises: a liner configured to accommodate a high-pressure fluid; a connection boss which is a metallic connector provided at an inlet of the liner and includes a first connection boss part coupled to an inner surface of the inlet and a second connection boss part coupled to an outer surface of the inlet and having a tapered shape with a relatively narrow upper side and a relatively wide lower side; and a coupling member configured to come into surface contact with an outer surface of the second connection boss part and having a tilted surface corresponding to a shape of the second connection boss part so that an inner diameter of a lower side is larger than that of an upper side.
METHOD FOR ENHANCING VOLUMETRIC CAPACITY IN GAS STORAGE AND RELEASE SYSTEMS
The present disclosure provides for a porous gas sorbent monolith with superior gravimetric working capacity and volumetric capacity, a gas storage system including a porous gas sorbent monolith of the present disclosure, methods of making the same, and method for storing a gas. The porous gas sorbent monolith includes a gas adsorbing material and a non-aqueous binder.
Tank for Storing Energy in the Form of Pressurized Gas, Made of Ultra-High Performance Fibre Reinforced Concrete
The present invention is a tank for storing pressurized gas. The tank comprises at least one tubular element (1) having a wall comprising a layer of prestressed concrete (6), at least one circumferential mechanical reinforcing layer (8), at least one axial mechanical reinforcing layer (7) and a sealing layer (5). The concrete from which the layer of prestressed concrete is made is chosen from ultra high performance fiber-reinforced concretes.
PUMPING OF LIQUID CRYOGEN FROM A STORAGE TANK
A liquid cryogen stored in a liquid cryogen space of a closed insulated cryogenic storage vessel is subcooled by allowing it to enter into a conduit disposed in the liquid cryogen space where it is expanded by a pressure reducer in the conduit, thereby producing a cooled biphasic mixture of the cryogen in liquid and vaporized forms. The cooled biphasic mixture has a temperature lower than that of the liquid cryogen in the liquid cryogen space. Heat is transferred across the conduit from the liquid cryogen in the liquid cryogen space to the cooled biphasic mixture.
Gas dosing apparatus with directional control valve
A gas dosing apparatus is provided that includes an inlet configured to receive gas, and a directional control valve connected to the inlet and having a first position and a second position. The gas dosing apparatus also includes a fixed volume reservoir connected to the directional control valve and receiving gas from the inlet, via the directional control valve, while the directional control valve is in the first position. The gas dosing apparatus further includes an outlet connected to the directional control valve and outputting a gas dose received from the fixed volume reservoir, via the directional control valve, while the directional control valve is in the second position.
Fluid container with pressure seal
A container for exchanging fluids using pressurized air has a cylindrical tank with caps and seals at the tank's opposite ends. Grooves in the caps hold the seals, and the caps move between unsealed and sealed arrangements using a tie rod engaging threaded bores in the caps. When sealed, the seals are radially compressed between the flange and the tank's interior sidewall. The tie rod connects to threaded bores at the caps' centers. Rotating the caps relative to the tank axially moves the caps between the sealed and unsealed arrangements. The top cap has a fill port with a threaded plug. A process tube connects to either the outlet port for the fluid when the top cap has the outlet or the inlet port for the pressurized air when the bottom cap has the inlet. A float valve connects to the process tube's end for fluid flowing through the outlet.
HYDROGEN TANK PROVIDED WITH A GASEOUS HYDROGEN CAPTURE SYSTEM
A hydrogen tank, preferably a tank for storing liquid hydrogen at low pressure in cryogenic condition, includes at least one gaseous hydrogen capture system. The system is provided with absorbent fillers configured to capture the gaseous hydrogen, the absorbent fillers being linked to at least a part of a wall of the tank, and/or to a skin arranged on an outer face of the tank, and/or to an outer jacket intended to implement an auxiliary function. The system has a reduced weight and is able to retain and store gaseous hydrogen which could escape from the tank so as to prevent it from being given off into the environment of the tank. The captured gaseous hydrogen is able to be restored later by the system.
