10895348 · 2021-01-19 · ·

A pressure vessel mounting structure (10) includes a plurality of bands (11) made of a composite material cured about the exterior surface (35) of the pressure vessel (30) to form an integral part of the vessel. The bands (11) may be spaced apart from one another to form a crisscrossing helical grid pattern with opposing ends (21) of the bands extending past a respective end (31) of the pressure vessel (30) and toward a longitudinal centreline (33) of the pressure vessel (30) to form a skirt (17). The skirt (17) provides mounting mounts (15) as well as a vertical standing mount for the vessel.

Disclosed herein is an attachment system, for providing a component mounting location, that comprises a laminated structure and a bracket. The bracket comprises an interface surface configured to interface with a first side of the structure, and a through hole open at the interface surface. A shear stud of the attachment system comprises a projection, shaped to pass through the hole of the structure and engage the through hole of the bracket, and a seal region, positioned to interface with a second side of the structure to form a seal with the second side of the structure. The attachment system additionally comprises a fastener comprising a head and a shaft, the shaft being shaped to pass through the through hole in the bracket and engage the shear stud to secure the shear stud relative to the bracket thereby reducing shear at the fastener.

High pressure tank

A high pressure tank includes: a resin liner for containing a fluid; a reinforced layer covering an outer surface of the liner; a cap including a supply/discharge hole to supply and discharge the fluid to and from the liner; a barrier layer; and an isolation wall member. The cap includes a cylindrical protrusion having the supply/discharge hole. The barrier layer covers an outer surface of the reinforced layer to block all or at least part of the fluid, and includes an opening to expose the protrusion. The isolation wall member forms a closed space accommodating the protrusion and the opening of the barrier layer.

A high pressure tank structure includes a high pressure tank, a pressure relief device, and a heat-resistant plate. The high pressure tank is capable of storing a fluid on an inside of a resin-made liner covered with a reinforced layer. The pressure relief device, when heated to a certain activating temperature, reduces an internal pressure of the high pressure tank. The heat-resistant plate is integrally attached to the high pressure tank, so as to be disposed facing the reinforced layer which is positioned at least on a bottom surface side when mounted in a mounting body.

STRUCTURAL GASEOUS MATERIAL STORAGE TANK

A tank configured to store a pressurized gas therein and carry a structural load between components of a vehicle.

Provided is a foot ring secured to a tank having a collar, The foot ring includes a base having an inner and outer surface, a central portion, and an outer peripheral portion, a plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable longitudinal lock tabs extending around the base for securing the foot ring to the tank, and a plurality of circumferentially spaced deflectable rotational lock tabs extending around the base for preventing rotational movement of the foot ring relative to the tank. Each of the circumferentially spaced deflectable longitudinal lock tabs have a first projection and a catch extending from the first projection for engaging a flange of the collar, and each of the circumferentially spaced deflectable rotational lock tabs have a second projection configured to be received in a respective notch in the flange.

METHOD OF FILLING FUEL GAS
20200240587 · 2020-07-30 ·

Decrease speed (gas pressure decrease speed) of fuel gas pressure in an in-vehicle fuel gas container and elapsed time after the fuel gas pressure reaches a predetermined lower limit value are measured. Then, based on the gas pressure decrease speed and the elapsed time, it is determined whether or not a burping occurrence condition where a fuel gas which entered space between an inner layer and an outer layer of the in-vehicle fuel gas container is discharged to the outside of the outer layer is satisfied. If the burping occurrence condition is satisfied, at the time of filling the fuel gas in the in-vehicle fuel gas container, control to prevent detection of the fuel gas by the fuel gas detector is performed.

VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH HIGH PRESSURE GAS CONTAINER

A vehicle is provided with an interior chamber apart from a passenger compartment, and a container chamber in which a high pressure gas container is accommodated. A heat generating body is accommodated in the interior chamber. Further, in the vehicle, there are formed introduction ports through which atmospheric air is introduced into the interior chamber, a communication passage that enables communication between the interior chamber and the container chamber, and a lead-out port through which the atmospheric air is led out from the container chamber. The atmospheric air that is introduced into the interior chamber through the introduction ports flows into the container chamber via the communication passage, and furthermore, is led out to the exterior of the container chamber from the lead-out port.

Combustible gas supply unit and hydrogen station

A combustible gas supply unit includes a high pressure gas facility for handling combustible gas which is compressed and a housing provided with a high pressure gas handling area containing the high pressure gas facility. The housing has a portion that is disposed in a side close to a boundary between premises of a hydrogen station and an outer region of the premises and constitutes the high pressure gas handling area, the portion being substantially composed of a partitioning wall member that resists an impact of an explosion of combustible gas.

Protective cover for medical gas cylinders and canisters
10619796 · 2020-04-14 ·

A protective cover for medical gas canisters includes a membrane that serves as a physical barrier to cross-contamination of biohazards in healthcare settings. An opening allows for insertion of the canister, and perforated access points that are permeable to gas provide access to valves. Sterilizing material in the access points help disinfect valves. The top of includes slack so that the membrane does not tear when handles and knobs are grasped and manipulated. A visual alignment marker indicates proper rotational alignment of the perforated access point with valves. The membrane is see-through so labels and gauges remain viewable. Elastic bands help provide a tight fit about the canister. A user slips the membrane over a canister, rotationally aligning the visual alignment marker with a valve, and connects a hose to a valve through the access point such that the perforated access point forms a seal over the valve.
