VESSEL MADE OF THERMALLY NON-HARDENABLE ALUMINUM ALLOY AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
The present invention relates to metalworking, in particular to producing vessels from non-heat-treatable aluminium alloys used for tanks and pressure vessels. Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a vessel, the method including: forming a tube by rolling at least one flat blank and abutting the edges thereof, friction stir welding the abutted edges and working at least a part of the welded tube into a shape of the vessel, wherein the flat blank is a sheet of a non-heat-treatable aluminium alloy preliminarily subjected to cold working with permanent deformation within the range of 0.5-15%, and said working of at least one part of the welded tube is hot working at a temperature of 230-520° C. The technical effect is a reduction in vessel weight, an increase in vessel strength, a uniform vessel strength and a reduction in the number of hot working cycles during manufacturing of the vessel. Further, the method provides reduced metal and time consumption in manufacturing a vessel from a non-heat-treatable aluminium alloy, low payload ratio, increased reliability and longer service life of the vessel produced using the method.
TANK LINER HAVING TWO CYLINDRICAL SECTIONS
A plastic tank liner for the storage of a pressurized fluid includes: two ends; two elongated cylindrical sections, the two cylindrical sections having different diameters; and one connecting section connecting the two cylindrical sections. The connecting section has a concave portion connected to the cylindrical section of smaller diameter, and a convex portion adjacent to the cylindrical section of larger diameter. The convex portion has an isotensoid shape. Two convex domes are located on both ends of the plastic tank liner so that each of the domes is connected to a different cylindrical section.
Low-temperature tank and method for manufacturing same
A low-temperature tank includes a container main body. The container main body includes a metal liner forming a storage space and a wall member formed of carbon fiber reinforced plastic wound on an outer peripheral surface of the metal liner. The metal liner includes a bent portion that extends in two directions intersecting each other on a surface thereof and that is bent to project toward the storage space.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LIGHT-WEIGHT PRESSURE TANK AND LIGHT-WEIGHT PRESSURE TANK
A method for producing a light-weight pressure tank with a light-weight pressure container from a metal material, the light weight pressure container including at least one polar or equatorial attachment element and a container wall connected to the at least one polar or equatorial attachment element, wherein at least the container wall is formed integrally in one piece with the at least one polar or equatorial attachment element by additive manufacturing by a thermal spraying method by applying the metal material to a convex or concave mold surface of a cambered formwork mold by a spray jet through at least one spray nozzle.
HIGH-PRESSURE VESSEL
A high-pressure container that includes a cylinder and at least one half-shell. The cylinder forms a middle region of the high-pressure container, and includes a multilayer composite plastic as a first barrier layer. The at least one half-shell is formed at an axial end of the cylinder, and includes a multilayer composite plastic as a second barrier layer, and a substantially rotationally symmetrical boss member having an undercut with respect to a protrusion in a direction of a longitudinal centre axis of the boss member. The multilayer composite plastic of the half-shell is arranged axially on both sides of the undercut of the boss member.
High-pressure seamless steel cylinder with second inner neck and the method of its production
A method of producing a high-pressure steel cylinder by forming from an individual dimension piece, consisting of an upper neck on the rounded end, which protrudes from the cylinder and it is provided by an opening the cylinder is additionally provided on its bottom with another bottom neck made in an inner material strengthening which is orientated insidewards of the high-pressure steel cylinder and the inner material strengthening is provided by a through-out opening.
FUEL TANK FOR A FUEL CELL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FUEL TANK
The invention relates to a fuel tank (1), in particular a hydrogen tank, for a fuel cell system, having a monolithic base body (10) made of a metal alloy, wherein the base body (10) has a first inner layer (11) having a first inner structure and a second outer layer (12) having a second inner structure, which differs from the first inner structure, and wherein the first inner structure is formed from a metastable austenite and the second inner structure is formed from a martensite.
Pressure vessel assembly and method of forming
A pressure vessel assembly includes a plurality of lobes, each lobe having at least one vertically arranged interior wall, the lobes positioned in a side by side arrangement such that a first interior wall of a first lobe is positioned adjacent a second interior wall of a second lobe, the first interior wall having a first wall top and bottom side, the second interior wall having a second wall top and bottom side, the first wall top side joined to the second wall top side and the first wall bottom side joined to the second wall bottom side. Also included are first and second end wall surfaces of each of the plurality of lobes. Further included is a plurality of end caps, each of the end caps joined to the end wall surfaces of the lobes, each of the end caps joined to at least one adjacent end cap.
SUSTAINABLE COMPOSITE CYLINDER
A composite cylinder assembly may comprise a tube liner and a port. The tube liner may include a closed bottom portion, a substantially cylindrical wall, and a domed head portion defining a neck. The port may comprise an outer diameter configured to fit into an inner diameter of the liner neck. The port may further comprise a lip including an outer diameter that is greater than the inner diameter of the liner neck. The port may also comprise a swage recess having an outer diameter that is less than the inner diameter of the liner neck. The port may be configured to press-fit into the liner neck.
