Shroud assembly for a portable pressurized gas cylinder
A portable gas cylinder assembly which includes a gas cylinder having a central axis, a protective shroud configured to encase the gas cylinder and including opposed half-sections mechanically connected to one other along a vertical plane intersecting the central axis of the gas cylinder, a cover member, separate from the opposed half-sections of the protective shroud, for supporting a lower portion of the gas cylinder within the opposed half-sections, and a base member, separate from the opposed half-sections of the protective shroud, for supporting a lower portion of the gas cylinder within the opposed half-sections.
FITTINGS FOR COMPRESSED GAS STORAGE VESSELS
A set of fittings for a fuel tank including an elongated stem and a ferrule. The stem includes an elongated coupling body at one end configured to couple within a cavity defined by an end of a fuel tank liner. The ferrule includes a ferrule body having a first ferrule end and a second ferrule end; a lip defining a coupling orifice at the first ferrule end with the stem being operable to extend though the coupling orifice and engaging the lip, and a ferrule cavity defined by the ferrule body that extends between the first and second ferrule ends and opening to the coupling orifice at the first ferrule end and a ferrule opening at the second ferrule end, the ferrule cavity configured to surround the end of the fuel tank liner.
Container for cryogenic storage and shipping
A unique cryogenic storage container may have a dual neck configuration with an inner neck and an outer neck. A unique cryogenic storage container may also have a data acquisition assembly comprising a temperature sensor connected to an inner tank of the cryogenic storage container at an inner tank port located in an inner tank wall of the inner tank. A unique cryogenic storage container may also have a lid scaling assembly with a scaling member through which an insulation member of the lid sealing assembly is at least partially disposed and a passage through the lid sealing assembly having a pressure relief valve.
Pressure Vessel, Pressure Vessel System, Motor Vehicle and Method for Forming Ribs
A pressure vessel for storing gaseous fuel has a vessel wall which surrounds an interior, wherein one or more ribs are formed on the vessel wall. A pressure vessel system, particularly for a motor vehicle, includes at least two such pressure vessels. A method is disclosed to form the ribs on the vessel wall of the pressure vessel.
GAS CYLINDER
A gas cylinder (1) comprising a cylinder body (2), a supporting part (11) with one or more resting portions (12) protruding towards a lower side (7) of the cylinder (1), a protection ring (13) manufactured separately and then mounted to the supporting part (11) and having an annular slot (14) which accommodates said one or more resting portions (12) and a resting surface (15) facing the lower side (7) and free from metal edges.
End fitting for a pressurized fluid reservoir
End fitting for a pressurized fluid reservoir, the reservoir comprising a liner (2) which comprises a tubular central portion (20) with a first cylindrical outer surface (21), characterized in that the end fitting (1) comprises an end portion (10) with a second cylindrical outer surface (11), the end portion (10) being configured to be positioned coaxially with respect to the tubular central portion (20), the second cylindrical outer surface (11) forming a radially flush extension of the first cylindrical outer surface (21), the end fitting (1) being configured to be mounted in a sealed manner on the outside of a neck (22) of the liner (2) by means of an annular sealing joint (4) arranged coaxially with respect to the end portion (10) in an annular groove (12) provided in an inner recess (13) of the end fitting (1) such that the internal pressure in the reservoir has a tendency to push the neck (22) radially outwards against the annular sealing joint (4).
Non-circular pressure vessel
A reservoir assembly includes one or more pressure vessels each having a non-circular cross-sectional shape including a rounded rectangle having four generally flat sides with rounded corners. The pressure vessels may be formed of extruded metal, such as aluminum, and have a generally constant cross-section. The pressure vessels include stiffening ribs and varying wall thicknesses to improve strength and to minimize stresses when pressurized, such as during operation when filled with compressed gas. The stiffening ribs meet in the center of each of the pressure vessels and divide the interior volumes into four equal sections. A cap of stamped aluminum is fitted and fully welded to enclose each end of the pressure vessels. One or both of the caps on each of the pressure vessels has a pressure fitting. Two or more pressure vessels extend parallel to one another and are attached together to form the reservoir assembly.
