System and method of storing and recovering energy by means of compressed gas, comprising a mixed layer of prestressed concrete
The invention is a reservoir for the storage of a pressurized fluid such as compressed air notably to the storage and recovery of energy using compressed air. In particular, the reservoir comprises at least one tube formed of an arrangement of concentric layers (C1, C2, C3, C4). This arrangement comprises, working from the inside toward the outside of the tube, an internal layer (C1) formed of concrete, a layer (C2) formed of steel of thickness E, at least one layer (C3) formed by a winding of steel wires (C3″) on a sublayer (C3′) of concrete, and an external layer (C4) which protects the wires against at least one of physical and chemical damage, and in which the wires are subjected to circumferential (hoop) tensile prestress with at least one of the thickness E and the prestress being rated to withstand the pressure of pressurized fluid.
CARBON-FIBRE COMPOSITE HIGH-PRESSURE HYDROGEN STORAGE TANK AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a carbon-fibre composite high-pressure hydrogen storage tank and a manufacturing process thereof. The hydrogen storage tank includes a tank body, wherein a gas guide port is formed in one side of the tank body, a reinforcing member for improving the strength of the tank body is arranged in an inner cavity of the tank body, a side end of the reinforcing member is fixedly connected to an inner wall of the tank body, and the tank body and the reinforcing member are all made of the carbon-fibre composite. The present disclosure can improve the whole strength and rigidity of the hydrogen storage tank and ensure the safer and more reliable hydrogen storage tank under a high pressure.
TANK CONTAINER FOR STORING GASES AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAID TANK CONTAINER
A tank container for storing gases, in particular for storing hydrogen in a motor vehicle. The tank container includes a main body which is preferably tubular, and comprises reinforcement elements which are arranged on a wall of the main body and are produced using an additive manufacturing process.
Structural joint of two load carrying walls of a pressurized vessel
Disclosed herein is a structure that comprises a tank including an outer cylindrical surface and a domed end. The structure also comprises a tank skirt positioned circumferentially around the tank. A wall of the tank and a wall of the tank skirt form two sides of a y-joint between the tank and the tank skirt. The y-joint includes a wedge structure positioned between the tank and the tank skirt. Additionally, a thickness of at least one of the wall of the tank or the wall of the tank skirt forming the y-joint tapers such that the thickness of the at least one of the wall of the tank or the wall of the tank skirt that tapers has a greater thickness at the y-joint than away from the y-joint.
Liner configuring member, high pressure tank, and method of manufacturing same
A liner configuring member configuring a liner includes a main body section which is configured from a resin material and has both ends opened. That is, both ends of the main body section are, respectively, a first open end and a second open end. There is provided in a vicinity of the first open end a first flange section where a first annular recess is formed by a first bottom section and a first side section. On the other hand, there is provided in a vicinity of the second open end a second flange section where a second annular recess is formed by a second bottom section and a second side section.
High-pressure tank producing apparatus
A high-pressure tank producing apparatus capable of reducing time for increasing temperature of a tank body. The apparatus that heats the tank body with fibers impregnated with a thermosetting resin wound around its surface includes a heating chamber for housing the tank body and a retaining mechanism for retaining the tank body within the heating chamber, in which the heating chamber has an injection port for injecting heated gas onto the surface of the tank body and an exhaust port for discharging the gas to the outside of the heating chamber, the exhaust port being disposed in a position where the injection port is projected in a gas injecting direction, and the retaining mechanism retains the tank body in a region where the injection and exhaust ports overlap with each other as viewed from the gas injecting direction and in a position between the injection and exhaust ports.
Method for manufacturing high-pressure tank
A method for manufacturing a high-pressure tank including a liner and a reinforcing layer covering an outer surface of the liner includes: forming a cylinder member made of a fiber-reinforced resin; forming a pair of dome members made of the fiber-reinforced resin; and forming a reinforcing body that is the reinforcing layer by joining the cylinder member and the dome members. When forming the cylinder member, a resin-impregnated fiber sheet is wound around an outer peripheral surface of a mandrel to form a cylinder body, and a resin-impregnated fiber bundle is then wound so as to overlap the cylinder body.
TANK, IN PARTICULAR FOR HYDROGEN, WITH IMPROVED SEALING
A tank comprises a shell, delimiting a storage enclosure and having at least one opening, and a connection me connected to the at least one opening of the shell. The connection member_-comprises a tubular element, delimiting a duct, and an annular element. The shell comprises a rim delimiting the at least one opening, the rim being radially clamped between the tubular element and the annular element.
CRYOGENIC TANK FOR STORING LIQUEFIED FLUID
Cryogenic tank for storing liquefied fluid, having an inner shell delimiting a storage volume for liquefied fluid and an outer shell arranged in a spaced manner around the inner shell, the space between said inner and outer shells having a thermal insulation, a first mechanical connection having a first support wall of truncated cone shape whose larger-diameter end is rigidly connected to the outer shell and whose smaller-diameter end is connected to the inner shell, wherein a second mechanical connection has a second support wall of truncated cone shape whose larger-diameter end is rigidly connected to the outer shell and whose smaller-diameter end is connected to the inner shell.
COMPOSITE TANK INNER SHELL FOR HIGH PRESSURE GAS
