METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPLYING A CRYOGENIC STREAM WITH A CONTROLLED TEMPERATURE FROM A BACK-UP SYSTEM
A method for temperature-controlled delivery of the gaseous product at temperatures at or below ambient in the event of an air separation unit failure. In one embodiment, a first portion of a stored cryogenic liquid product is sent to the back-up vaporizer and heated to ambient conditions, and a second portion of stored cryogenic liquid product, which is at the cryogenic storage temperature, bypasses the back-up vaporizer using a bypass line controlled by a bypass valve and is mixed with the vaporized gas. This mixed stream will then preferably go through a static mixer in order to get to an homogenous temperature that is below the ambient temperature. A temperature control loop can be used to adjust the opening of the by-pass valve in order to reach the desired product temperature.
ENCLOSURE FOR THE FILL PLUG OF A BEVERAGE CARBONATION SYSTEM OR THE LIKE
An enclosure for a fill plug is provided and includes a base to which a retainment plate is secured. The retainment plate has an opening for engaging about a throat of the fill plug such that axial and rotational movement of the fill plug relative to the base is prevented. A lid is secured to the base and is movable between a closed position in which the lid covers the base and an open position in which the base is uncovered by the lid. The lid defines a cavity for accommodating the fill plug when the lid is in the closed position. A lock is carried by the lid for locking the lid in the closed position, a spring resiliently urges the lid into the open position when the lid is unlocked, and a gasket is carried by the lid for forming a seal with the base.
Method for recovering energy from dry ice at infra-atmospheric pressure
A method of recovering energy produced by the change of phase of dry ice using a device having an enclosure (2) containing dry ice at an infra-atmospheric pressure and at a solidification temperature corresponding to the infra-atmospheric pressure; and a primary energy recovery circuit (3), in which a heat transfer fluid circulates, passing through the enclosure. The method involves passage of the heat transfer fluid into the primary circuit (3), this step causing the heating of the dry ice and its change of phase into CO2 and the cooling of the heat transfer fluid; extraction of the CO2 contained in the enclosure (2); and substantially continuous lowering of the pressure of the enclosure (2) to an infra-atmospheric pressure.
PRESSURIZED LIQUID FILL GUN APPARATUS AND METHOD OF USE
Certain embodiments of the present invention provide a fill gun apparatus for interconnection of a pump truck and a pressurized liquid delivery system. The fill gun apparatus can be easily attached and detached from an inlet port to deliver a pressurized fluid, for improved delivery, increased efficiency, increased safety, and decreased waste.
Flat inflation device
A device for the inflation of an inflatable life vest, notable in that it includes a storage casing containing at least two cartridges of pressurized gas which are arranged side-by-side and touching one another to form a row, and a release casing comprising at least one striker device that makes it possible, in the event of activation, to puncture each of the said cartridges simultaneously or in succession to release the gas they contain in gaseous form to the outside of the inflation device through at least one orifice made on the release casing, the said storage and release casings being in the overall shape of a flattened hollow parallelepiped and joined together removably and in a manner that is gastight with respect to the gas contained in the said cartridges.
Connecting element for gas cylinders
Disclosed is a connecting element for connecting a device or apparatus to a gas cylinder provided with coupling element including at least one external thread, the connecting element including a body with a hollow cylindrical section provided with an internal thread adapted for joining with the external thread of the gas cylinder, an annular gasket, an annular seat adapted for housing the gasket, the seat including at least one perimeter surface on which the gasket rests. The body includes one or more bleed channels, each with a first end that opens on to the perimeter surface of the seat of the gasket and a second end that opens on to an outer surface of the body so that the bleed channel places the seat of the gasket in communication with the external atmosphere.
INFLATABLE BAG
An inflatable bag includes a gas cylinder filled with a compressed gas and having a bottle mouth for discharging the compressed gas, a hole-piercing device pressable to pierce into the bottle mouth for letting the compressed gas be discharged out of the gas cylinder, an inner bag surrounding the gas cylinder and the hole-piercing device and having air holes for the passing of the discharged gas, and an inflatable outer bag surrounding the inner bag and inflatable by the gas that is discharged out of the gas cylinder and flows through the air holes of the inner bag. By the above configuration, the inflatable bag is placed in a box around the object to be protected and quickly inflated to form a filling buffer without generating heat, ensuring that the protected object is not easily deteriorated and facilitating recycling and cleaning.
Process for making horizontally-aligned epoxy graphene material
A method includes depositing graphene into a hardener, mixing the hardener and the graphene to produce a homogeneous composite mixture, adding a resin material to the composite mixture to produce an epoxy graphene material, coating a structure with the epoxy graphene material, aligning the graphene sheets in the in-plane orientation, and curing the epoxy graphene material.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING GAS LEVEL IN A GAS STORAGE CYLINDER
The present invention is directed generally to the field carbonated beverage dispensing systems having a replaceable carbon dioxide storage cylinder. Such systems may be embodied in the form of a unitary apparatus including, but not exclusively, on-bench, under-bench or freestanding beverage cooling units. The invention may be embodied in the form of a beverage dispensing unit having a gas input connector configured to make gas tight connection to a gas container configured to hold a gas under pressure and a mass detection device. The gas input connector and mass detection device are arranged such that when a gas container is connected to the gas input connector, the mass detection device is capable of detecting a mass associated with the gas container. The unit may further have a gas container support extending from or about the mass detection device configured to maintain a gas container connected to the gas input connector in a position such that it bears on the mass detection device so as to allow the mass detection device to measure the mass of the gas container and any gas contained therein. Computer-implemented methods for monitoring the level of gas are also provided.
LIQUEFIED FLUID SUPPLY SYSTEM AND LIQUEFIED FLUID-SPRAYING APPARATUS
A liquefied fluid supply system is a liquefied fluid supply system of supplying a nozzle with a liquefied fluid that vaporizes after spraying and includes: a supercooler that cools the liquefied fluid to a temperature lower than a saturation temperature thereof and makes the liquefied fluid into a supercooled liquid; and a booster that boosts in pressure the liquefied fluid made into the supercooled liquid by the supercooler and supplies the liquefied fluid to the nozzle.
