An automatic gas shutoff system for protecting the occupants of a home, apartment, RV, vehicle, etc. from dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. The automatic gas shutoff system generally includes one or more carbon monoxide detectors, a control unit, and a gas shutoff valve under the control of the control unit, so that the gas supply to a malfunctioning appliance can be shut off in the event it is creating dangerous levels of carbon monoxide within a protected space. The shutoff valve may have a manual reset feature that requires a problem condition to be repaired before the valve is manually reset to allow normal gas flow to resume.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CALCULATING, IN REAL-TIME, THE DURATION OF AUTONOMY OF A NON-REFRIGERATED TANK CONTAINING LNG

This invention relates to a method and a system for calculating in real-time the duration of autonomy of a non-refrigerated tank containing natural gas comprising a liquefied natural gas (LNG) layer and a gaseous natural gas (GNG) layer. This invention also relates to a system for calculating, in real time, according to the method of the invention, the duration of autonomy of a non-refrigerated tank, as well as a vehicle comprising an NG tank and a system according to the invention.

METHOD AND CONVEYING DEVICE

A method for supplying a consumer with a cryogen from a storage vessel, with the following steps: a) introducing part of the cryogen from the storage vessel into a volume that can be closed off, b) closing off the volume by first closing a supply valve arranged between the volume and the consumer, and then closing an inlet valve arranged between the storage vessel and the volume, c) vaporizing the cryogen in the volume so as to subject the volume to a pressure which is higher than a pressure prevailing in the storage vessel, and d) discharging the vaporized cryogen from the volume to the consumer when the consumer has a load requirement by opening the supply valve, wherein, when the supply valve is open, the inlet valve is opened as soon as the pressure in the volume falls below the pressure prevailing in the storage vessel.

Dispenser for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Filling Station
20180149313 · 2018-05-31 ·

A fueling station dispenser for distributing a combustible gas that is lighter than air, and that includes electrical and gas handling sections in the same frame. A vapor barrier in the cabinet blocks fugitive gas that may be present in the gas handling section from entering the electrical section. According to most applicable codes, by isolating combustible gas from the electrical section gives it a Class I, Division 2 designation. Which eliminates the need to seal or air purge the electronics section as this designation allows for electronics that under normal intended operating conditions do not generate an arc with sufficient energy to initiate combustion.

Pressure relief detection for use with gas storage
