A tank includes a liner including an inner shell; and a reinforcing layer covering an outer surface of the liner; wherein the reinforcing layer is formed by continuously winding resin-impregnated fiber bundles around the liner, the reinforcing layer includes a hoop layer placed in a side of the liner, and a helical layer, gaps are formed between adjacent bundles of the resin-impregnated fiber bundles wound in the hoop layer, there is at least one site where the resin-impregnated fiber bundles are wound without forming a gap between adjacent bundles in the helical layer, and resin in the resin-impregnated fiber bundles has a resin toughness value of not less than 1.0 MPa.Math.m.sup.0.5.
Defroster for oxygen liquefier
An oxygen liquefier system may be configured to defrost an oxygen line included therein. The system may include one or more sieve beds, a liquid oxygen reservoir, an oxygen line, a controller, a heating apparatus, and/or other components. The one or more sieve beds are configured to extract oxygen from air obtained from an ambient environment. The liquid oxygen reservoir is configured to store oxygen extracted at the one or more sieve beds that has been liquefied. The oxygen line is configured to provide fluid communication between the one or more sieve beds and the liquid oxygen reservoir. The controller is configured to detect a blockage caused by frozen liquid within the oxygen line based on a liquid oxygen production rate. The heating apparatus is configured to defrost the oxygen line to melt frozen liquid within the oxygen line responsive to the detection of the blockage.
Gas Supply System and Method of Gas Supply
A valve arrangement (10) adapted to be coupled to, and to provide a gas flow from, a gas cylinder (20) containing a pressurized gas (21), the valve arrangement (10) comprising a blocking valve (1) with an obturator (11) movable by an actuator (12) from an opening position permitting a flow of the pressurized gas (21) through the blocking valve (1) into a closing position blocking the flow of the pressurized gas (21) through the blocking valve (1) is provided. Temperature sensing means (4) are provided which are adapted to provide at least one signal, the at least one signal being indicative of one or more temperatures of, in, and/or in vicinity to, the valve arrangement (10), and the actuator (12) is adapted to move the obturator (11) from the opening position into the closing position if the one or more temperatures indicated by the at least one signal are above a predetermined threshold value. A gas supply system (100) and a corresponding method of gas supply is also part of the invention.
Gas cylinder interlock device and method of use
The present invention relates to devices, systems, and methods for a safety interlock for a gas cylinder. The interlock device of the present invention can prevent a gas cylinder from being removed from a gas administration device as long as gas remains in the gas cylinder.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATICALLY FILLING FLUID CYLINDERS
A cylinder filling system is configured to automatically fill fluid cylinders with fluid at varying fluid pressures. The cylinder filling system may include a plurality of pressure control manifolds operatively connected together and disposed in a fluid circuit between a fluid storage container and a fluid outlet. A control unit may be in communication with the plurality of pressure control manifolds. The control unit is configured to operate the plurality of pressure control manifolds to deliver fluid at a rated fluid pressure of a fluid cylinder that connects to the fluid outlet.
Port/liner assembly method for pressure vessel
A pressure vessel includes a polymeric liner defining a fluid containment cavity and having an opening defining a port aperture extending between an inner surface and an outer surface of the polymeric liner and a rigid ring element is embedded within the polymeric liner and surrounding the port aperture. A metallic port element is disposed on the outer surface of the polymeric liner and fixed to the rigid ring element. A fiber composite material is disposed about the outer surface of the polymeric liner.
Fresh Air/Oxygen Portable Breathing Device With or Without Aromas and Methods of Use
The present invention provides a portable, light-weight, breathing device and methods of use for delivering pristine, fresh air or varying high concentrations of oxygen with or without aroma, i.e., essential oils for stimulating appetite, boosting mood or decreasing stress and anxiety. The breathing device comprises an air container having a breathing air bag therein which contains the fresh air or the varying concentrations of oxygen optionally with the one or more essential oils, tubing for delivering the fresh air or oxygen to a breathing mask, and a plurality of movable valves included in the mask which directs air or oxygen into or out of the mask depending on whether the user is inhaling or exhaling.
