Non-contact Soilage Detector and Flashlight
A combination flashlight and electronic sensing device for identifying urine or feces or both and configured for facilitating stealthy detection of the same.
PORTABLE LIGHTING DEVICE WITH AN ILLUMINATED INDICIA
The invention provides a portable lighting device with an elongated main body that includes a housing with receiver, and a power source positioned within the receiver. An operational mode selector assembly with a switch assembly that is actuated by a user is operatively coupled to the power source. An illumination assembly is electrically coupled to both the operational mode selector and the power source. The illumination assembly has a primary light source with a light emitter that emits light axially along a longitudinal axis of the main body or housing through a lens. A secondary light source with a light emitter emits light substantially perpendicular to the axis to illuminate an indicia located in a side region of the illumination assembly. During operation of the portable lighting device, the components of the illumination assembly are arranged such that: (i) the primary light source does not illuminate the indicia, (ii) the secondary light source does not emit light through the lens, (iii) an appreciable amount of light emitted from the primary light source does not mix with light that is emitted from the secondary light source within the portable lighting device, and (iv) an appreciable amount of light emitted from the secondary light source does not mix with light that is emitted from the primary light source within the portable lighting device.
MULTI-PURPOSE FLASHLIGHT
A multi-purpose flashlight having a plurality of internal and external accessories that are designed to allow the user to perform a variety of activities which increases the utility of the flashlight. Said multi-purpose flashlight includes a handle assembly and main body assembly. The handle assembly of the flashlight includes a cutting and opening assembly, a magnetic attachment means, and a bit attachment means. Meanwhile, the main body assembly including a lighter assembly, a lighting assembly, and a removable cap including a glass-breaker, the removable cap being configured to removably enclose the lighter assembly.
BATTERY CHARGER OPERATING METHOD AND METHOD USABLE WITH PLURAL DIFFERENT POWER SUPPLIES
A method for charging a battery may comprise: setting an initial low charge current level; repetitively interrupting charging in a periodic cycle, and: measuring an open circuit battery voltage when charging is interrupted, determining from the open circuit battery voltage a corresponding charging current; applying the predetermined charging current; and repeating the periodic cycle. A method may also comprise: setting an initial charge current level, determining the current available by measuring the supply voltage, and decreasing the charging current level if the measured supply voltage is less than a predetermined voltage.
Lighting device construction
A portable lighting device adapted to provide an area light, said device including a body having a battery housing to hold batteries to power said device. The device includes a light panel functioning as a lens to act as an area light emitter, characterized in the said light panel is slidable into and out of said body, said light panel being constructed of a substantially flat panel portion.
USB connector usable with a battery charger and otherwise
A connector comprises: an elongated connector body defining a longitudinal direction with an electrical connector frame at one end thereof; the elongated connector body having a longitudinal alignment feature on the elongated connector body configured for aligning the elongated connector body, a guide feature defining a unique orientation thereof, and a retaining feature configured for retaining the elongated connector body in a connector guide.
Battery charger usable with plural different power supplies
A battery charger comprises: a housing having at least one cradle; a connector port for receiving at different times electrical plug connectors having different contact configurations; electrical receptacles in the connector port for receiving at different times electrical plug connectors associated with different electrical power supplies, plural electrical receptacles having different contact configurations; the plural electrical receptacles being closely adjacent such that an electrical connector inserted into one electrical receptacle physically prevents an electrical connector from being inserted into the other electrical receptacle; and an electrical circuit coupling electrical power received at the electrical receptacles to the at least one cradle.
LIGHT SOURCE ASSEMBLY WITH MULTIPLE, DISPARATE LIGHT SOURCES
A light source assembly includes a housing assembly and at least two sets of disparate light sources that are coupled to the housing assembly. The sets of disparate light sources include a first plurality of disparate light sources; and a second plurality of disparate light sources. Each plurality of disparate light sources includes a first light source that generates a first light beam having a first center wavelength and a second light source that generates a second light beam having a second center wavelength that is different than the first center wavelength. The first plurality of disparate light sources generates a first output beam that is directed along a first central beam axis. The second plurality of disparate light sources generates a second output beam that is directed along a second central beam axis that is spaced apart from the first central beam axis by at least approximately sixty degrees.
Flashlight
A flashlight includes a body sized to be held in the hand of a user. The flashlight includes a light source coupled to the body for emitting light when the light source is activated by a user. The light source is movable to emit light as directed by the user.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PORTABLE, SAFETY LIGHTING
A light system includes a housing and a lighting assembly. The housing includes a first cap, a second cap, and a lens arranged between the first cap and the second cap to form a periphery of the housing. The lighting assembly is arranged proximate to the first cap and includes a plurality of lighting elements configured to emit light toward the second cap. The lens includes a waveguide having a reflecting surface that is non-planar and that is configured to receive the light emitted by the plurality of lighting elements and direct the light toward the periphery of the housing.
