TOOLLESS CLICK-IN OR CLICK-OUT DOWNLIGHT
An overall-assembly of a downlight, with a flangeless trim, and a spackle-frame have complementary structures for repeatably attaching or detaching the downlight to the spackle-frame merely by pushing the downlight into a central hole of the spackle-frame and without use of any external / separate tools. The flangeless trim has some upward protruding members that are configured to removably attached / detached to clips and housings-for-clips. The clips are housed within the housings-for-clips. And the clips and the housings-for-clips are retained in structures of the spackle-frame. The spackle-frame would typically be permanently installed within an appropriately sized hole in drywall (or the like), such as, but not limited to, ceiling drywall. In this way, such downlights may be readily installed or removed and all without use of external / separate tools.
Configurable Ceiling Grid Lighting Assembly with T-Bar Mounting
A configurable lighting assembly for use in suspended ceiling grid systems which provides novel T-Bar mounting options. The lighting assembly comprises two configurable length linear lighting modules in a novel parallel arrangement. End plates support, and enclose longitudinal ends of the elongate body of each linear lighting modules and are used to set a configured width and functional gap spacing of the linear lighting modules. The end plates further connect and support the lighting assembly when fixed or mounted or removably to T-Bars positioned at either or both perpendicular and parallel alignment angles.
Lighting assemblies with various embodiments of end plates and linear lighting modules are presented, each with novel mounting characteristics. In some cases the lighting assembly mounts perpendicularly on its end and spans the gap between two T-Bars. In other cases the lighting assembly mounts longitudinally on a single T-Bar. Finally, embodiments are shown where the lighting assembly mounts both perpendicularly and longitudinally to different T-Bars in a ceiling grid layout.
The lighting assembly further comprises a novel arrangement of LED light sources, transmissive optical elements, light shaping lenses, reflectors and other functional components supported and housed within the elongate body of each linear lighting module. The transmissive optical elements may be backlit or edgelit from one or two sides and aligned horizontally or tilted relative to the ceiling grid plane. The lighting assembly can provide a range of useful symmetric, asymmetric and tilted non-lambertian lighting distributions.
Systems and methods for stabilizing optical sheets in luminaires
In one or more embodiments, a luminaire includes a housing, a light source coupled with the housing, an optical sheet coupled with the housing, and a film stabilizer coupled with the housing. The optical sheet includes a first surface and an opposing second surface that are both disposed substantially horizontally when the luminaire is in an installed orientation. The first surface is disposed facing the light source, so that when the light source emits light, the light passes first through the first surface and subsequently through the second surface. The film stabilizer includes a third surface and an opposing fourth surface. The film stabilizer is disposed with the third surface adjacent to the second surface of the optical sheet, and provides mechanical support for the optical sheet.
Recessed luminaire without an integrated light source
A recessed luminaire includes a trim, a junction box, and a light source socket. The trim includes a trim body, a flange, and a cover section. The flange extends out from the trim body at an opening of the trim. The junction box and the light source socket are attached to the trim. The light source socket is positioned inside a cavity of the trim. The light source socket may be attached to a cover section of the trim or to a bracket that is attached to the trim.
Light engine module mates with heat sink
A lighting device system includes at least one lighting device module having a module housing configured to be inserted at least partially through an opening in a panel, and at least one heat sink member having a contact surface. The at least one heat sink member is located adjacent the opening in the panel. The module housing is held in contact with the contact surface of the at least one heat sink member when the module housing is inserted at least partially through the opening in the panel in an installed state. The module housing is configured to be selectively withdrawn from the contact surface of the heat sink member, through the opening in the panel.
Slim-type LED lighting apparatus with integrated junction box and LED module
Proposed is a slim-type LED lighting apparatus with integrated junction box and LED module. The apparatus includes: the junction box having a plurality of first cable inlets that allow circular cables or conduits to be introduced thereinto and are arranged on a circumference of a side surface of a cylindrical body with an open upper side and a recessed lower side, an upper opening into which a wiring cover is coupled to be selectively openable and closable for wiring work, and a lower recess having a first flange protruding from the cylindrical body; the LED module inserted through the lower recess of the junction box and then integrally coupled to a lower surface of the junction box in face-to-face contact therewith; and a plurality of interchangeable trims of different diameters selectively coupled to a lower portion of the junction box and configured to be interchangeable with each other.
DOWNLIGHT STRUCTURE
A downlight structure includes a light body and a light source (5). The light body includes a support (1), a movable light holder assembly (2), a base (3), and a supporting ring (4). The movable light holder assembly (2) is movably connected to a top of the support (1). The base (3) is arranged at a bottom of the support (1) after connected to the supporting ring (4). The light source (5) is arranged on the movable light holder assembly (2), and moves longitudinally or horizontally in the light with the movable light holder assembly (2). Through delicate design of the structure of the light body and the light source (5) of the downlight, the present disclosure provides a convenient solution for replacing the light source of the downlight with bare hands, and also provides a feasible solution for standardization of the downlight industry.
LIGHTING APPARATUS
A lighting apparatus includes a fixing unit, a lamp body, a base housing and multiple elastic units. The fixing unit has a central hole. The lamp body includes an inner semi-sphere housing, a rotation shaft and a light source. The base housing includes an external semi-sphere housing and a rotation connector. The rotation shaft is coupled to the rotation connector for the lamp body to rotate with respect to the base housing along a first rotation axis of the rotation shaft. The multiple elastic units are attached to the base housing. The multiple elastic units are elastically attached to the central hole for the base housing to rotate with respect to the fixing unit along a second axis.
