Apparatus and methods for lighting. The apparatus may include a beam-angle changing lens. The beam-angle changing lens may be movable from a first position in front of a slotted cylinder to a second position in front of the slotted cylinder. The slotted cylinder may be fixed with respect to translation along the central axis. The slotted cylinder may be configured to move the beam-angle changing lens from the first position to the second position when the slotted cylinder is rotated. The slotted cylinder may be configured to displace the support to move the lens to the positions. The apparatus may include a guide pin. Rotation of the slotted cylinder may displace the guide pin linearly in a direction parallel to the axis. Motion of the guide pin may move the lens. The apparatus may include a rotatable shaft. The rotatable shaft may be configured to rotate the slotted cylinder.

Landscape lamps with adjustable light modifiers

The pathway/landscape lamps include an elongated fixture body having an upper end and a lower end; at least one light source mounted to the upper end of the fixture body; a ground engaging post provided at the lower end of the fixture body; and a telescoping shade with a reflective top cover provided over the light source and translucent sides at least partially surrounding the light source. The telescoping shade configured to move from a lowered position allowing light from the light source to be directed downward, to a raised position allowing for light to be emitted both sideways and downward from the light source. A second embodiment of the telescoping shade include at least one vertically adjustable side shade configured to selectively block light to be emitted in a sideway direction.

Guided light preferably inserted within a post or another tubular object

A solar-powered post light preferably designed to fit snugly within an outer end of a tubular member, such as a pipe. By being lit at nighttime hours, the light provides a guide to boaters at a boatlift while centering their boat, as well as providing light for various other nighttime conditions related to the water, as well as outside of a water environment. The light preferably provides for a “glow” effect, such that at whatever visible distance, the boater will know where the boat lift is located. An upper angled member of the guide light can be provided with a plurality of facet cuts which provide for prismatic reflection of sun rays for solar collection 180 degrees across a horizon.

Some of the fixtures are spotlights while other fixture are intended for in ground use. The light fixtures in at least some embodiments include power control features. In spotlight embodiments beam angle and power or light output can be controlled without opening the light assembly or compromising the water tight seals which also protect against dirt. In ground embodiments support tilt angle setting which allow a user to set the light fixture to one or more tilt angles. Beam angle can also be changed in some embodiments as well as power control. Beam angle, power control and tilt angle adjustments are supported in some embodiments but need not be supported in all embodiments with some embodiments using one or more of the described features but not all features.

SPOTLIGHT STRUCTURE

A spotlight structure includes a main body, a waterproof front cover, and a waterproof rear cover. A front cavity and a rear cavity are arranged in the main body. A focusing component, a spotlight adjusting component and a color temperature adjusting component are arranged in the cavities. A screw thread is arranged on the outer walls of the front end and the rear end of the main body. A dovetail groove is arranged at the root of the screw thread. An O-ring is arranged on the dovetail groove. An edge of the waterproof front cover adjacent to the O-ring and an edge of the waterproof rear cover adjacent to the O-ring are a beveled edge, respectively. The waterproof front cover is threaded with the front end of the main body, and the waterproof rear cover is threaded with the rear end of the main body.

WIRING SYSTEM FOR GROUND MOUNTED LIGHTING FIXTURES

A wiring system for ground mounted lighting fixtures comprises a base of the lighting fixture that is located on top of the ground surface. The above-ground base includes a wiring box and construction of the base resists sprinkler water and rain from entering the wiring box. A connector device is mounted in the wiring box and has multiple ports for interconnecting the wires of the incoming power cable with wires of the outgoing power cable and interconnecting those wires with the wires of the power cable of the light source in the fixture. The connector device includes an internal circuit that provides a parallel connection of the light source cable with the incoming and outgoing power cables. Spring lever clamps are used to secure the various wires in the connector device ports and in connection with the internal circuit. The wiring box is thus integral with the light fixture.

The present invention relates to an LED lighting module for a low street light, installed at a low height on the periphery of a road or a median strip, to illuminate light in a direction crossing the road, and to an LED lens provided on the LED lighting module. When using the LED lighting module for the low streetlight and the LED lens, according to one embodiment of the present invention, streetlight can be installed at a low height thereby reducing the cost for streetlight installation, glare on a car driver can be prevented by evenly lighting the road in the horizontal direction while deflecting downward, and the loss of light can be minimized.
