Programmable emergency lighting device including near-field communication
An emergency lighting unit including a power input. a light source, a battery configured to receive charging current from the power input. wireless communication circuitry configured to receive a wireless communication signal, and a controller connected to the wireless communication circuitry. The controller is configured to control the charging of the battery based on the wireless communication signal.
Petcup
Petcup is a new product that works as a thermo beverage cup and turned up-side down works as a portable lamp/worklight. As a hot or cold beverage cup the light can be turned on before you set it on the table giving Petcup a one-of-a-kind look. When not being used as a beverage cup, it's a portable lamp/worklight that's light-weight and can go anywhere. You can twist the top and bottom off to wash or just twist the bottom off to change the batteries. Petcup is the only cup/lamp in the world and the only cup with a dual-use as a portable lamp.
Emergency high bay light
Technologies are described for emergency lighting, provided is a stand-alone emergency high bay light having an array of LEDs disposed symmetrically about a central axis of the emergency high bay light. A rechargeable battery is configured to illuminate the array of LEDs. The emergency high bay light is configured to charge the rechargeable battery with a power supply between about 100V AC and 480V AC.
DOWNLIGHT HAVING QUICK CONNECT DRIVER ASSEMBLY WITH SWITCH SELECTABLE LIGHT CHARACTERISTICS
A lamp is provided that includes a first housing having a recessed down lamp geometry for containing a light emitting diode (LED) light source, and a second housing for containing driver electronics including an exterior switch for selecting lighting characteristics of light being projected by the light emitting diode (LED) light source, wherein the first housing containing the light emitting diode (LED) light source and the second housing including the driver electronics are electrically connected through a reversible connector.
Safety device cabinet with a safety switch having an integrated light
A safety device cabinet includes an equipment cabinet, a safety switch having an integrated light, a switch logic circuit and a battery back-up. The safety device cabinet includes an equipment cabinet and an access door. The access door includes a window and an edge light emitting device. The window is etched with a message containing a description of the equipment stored in the equipment cabinet. The safety switch with an integrated light includes a push momentary switch, a light bezel and a bezel light source. An inner perimeter of the outer shell is sized to receive a push button of the push momentary switch. The light bezel preferably includes an opening to receive a light emitting portion of the light source. The switch logic circuit preferably includes a AC to DC converter, a microprocessor, a software program and a monitoring device.
CONFIGURABLE ELECTRICAL RECEPTACLES
This invention relates to configurable electrical receptacles and more particularly to electrical receptacles that accept in-situ replacement of an insert providing a specific functionality within an electrical receptacle which is configurable to function or user accessible feature.
Grid connected coordinated lighting adapter
In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for systems and methods that employ a control component and/or power source integrated in an LED based light source to control and/or power the LED light source wirelessly. In embodiments, the LED based light source may take the form of a standard light bulb that plugs into a standard lighting socket or fixture.
Emergency Lighting System With Battery Identification
An emergency LED lighting system maintains power to an LED lighting source based on measured voltages and currents provided to the LED lighting source; rolls back or decreases power provided to an LED lighting source over time in order to increase the amount of time the battery can power the LED lighting source; executes a soft start procedure, such that the power provided to the LED lighting source is gradually ramped up during activation of the LED lighting sources; identifies a type of battery coupled to the emergency LED lighting system; cycles the emergency LED lighting system between charging mode and standby mode to reduce power consumption over a window of time; detects AC power or an absence of AC power; and/or uses a status LED to communicate information about the emergency LED lighting system with a remote device.
Wall pack light fixtures
A wall pack light fixture including a front cover having a front surface, a top wall, and two side walls, the top and side walls extending rearward from the front surface and defining a recess with an inner contact surface, a light element in the front cover, a rear enclosure having a forward-facing front edge, and a hinge having a first portion connected to the front cover and a second portion pivotably coupled to the first portion, the second portion connected to the rear enclosure, wherein the front cover is rotatable about the hinge between a closed configuration, in which the forward-facing front edge is within the recess and against the inner contact surface, and an open configuration, wherein the top wall of the front cover is a continuous surface which, in the closed configuration, extends over a top portion of the forward-facing front edge of the rear enclosure.
Luminaire communication, detection and/or location apparatus and system
A luminaire and network for use in assisting persons in a building comprising: at least one lighting module, at least one communications component, a controller, an uninterruptible power supply in or coupled to the luminaire to power the lighting module, communications component and/or controller in the absence of a regular (e.g. AC) power supply, wherein the controller: triggers the lighting module to illuminate upon an activation event, facilitates communication via the communications and/or facilitates positioning of persons (or their devices) using the communications component and/or other components.
