The pendulum is pivotally coupled to the housing and configured to move the flame-shaped head relative to the housing. The illumination device also includes a first light source configured to illuminate the flame-shaped head, a second light source arranged inside the shell and configured to illuminate the shell, and a printed circuit board assembly operable to control the first light source to illuminate the flame-shaped head and the second light source to illuminate the shell.

One example includes an electronic candle includes an outer shell including a through-hole, a light-emitting assembly including a flame sheet configured to protrude through the through-hole, an inner shell positioned within the outer shell, and a self-locking device positioned within a cavity of the inner shell. The self-locking device is configured to operate in (1) a locked state when a switch locks a spring in a compressed state and (2) an unlocked state when the switch releases the spring to be in a relaxed state. The electronic candle also includes a bottom case such that the bottom case is enclosed within the outer shell when the self-locking device is in the locked state and the bottom case is exposed to an external environment beneath the outer shell when the self-locking device is in the unlocked state.

In one example, an electronic candle includes an outer shell with one or more openings configured to allow a fragrance to exit to an ambient environment of the electronic candle. The outer shell comprises a central opening such that a flame element protrudes at least partially through the central opening. The device includes a light emitting component to emit a light onto the movable flame, and a mounting base positioned below the movable flame element. The device also includes a scent storage component removably coupled to the mounting base. The scent storage component includes a container to store a fragrance and an absorption member configured to draw the fragrance to the ambient environment of the electronic candle through the one or more small openings of the outer shell.

A variety of drive mechanisms could be disposed within the body of the device that can cause movement of the flame element with respect to the housing. The flame element can be coupled to a housing or mounting bracket of the device using various components to suspend the flame element within the housing.

Imitation candle devices and systems with enhanced features are described that facilitate remote operation and usage of electronic candles. The disclosed features include application programs running on a processor of a mobile device and a detachable wireless transceiver included within an imitation candle to facilitate the electronic candle to be turned on or off remotely. In some embodiments, when a user blows into the microphone of the mobile device the imitation flame of the electronic candle is moved according to the speed of the blow. In some implementations, parameters such as a flicker speed, a flicker color, a duration of flickering, are changed using signals that are received from the mobile device.
