LED DEVICE HAVING INDIVIDUALLY ADDRESSABLE LED MODULES
20170318636 · 2017-11-02 ·

The invention provides an interconnected string of three LED modules, having internal and external connections such that each LED in the string is fully individually addressable. LED biases and interconnects are oriented and configured such that individual addressability is achieved without the need for direct external signal connections to each LED in the string. Consequently embodiments are provided comprising pluralities of strings, arranged so as to form an array of LED modules, wherein wiring tracks running beneath, or along the intermediary spaces between, rows of LEDs are not required. Hence are provided LED devices comprising an array of individually addressable LED modules, having reduced spacing between rows and columns, and having optimal thermal path perpendicularly across the substrate layer. Provided devices have improved heat dissipation and greater achievable LED array density. Also provided are embodiments comprising one or more lens arrangements, suitable, for example, for adaptive beam-shaping applications.

ROTARY LIGHT MODULE
20170314757 · 2017-11-02 · ·

A light module for a motor vehicle comprises at least one light source capable of emitting light rays, a support bearing the light source, optical deflection elements arranged so as to deflect the light rays emitted by the light source to form a light beam projected at the output of the light module, and guiding elements for guiding the optical deflection elements in rotation about an axis of rotation, in order to shift the projected light beam transversely. According to the invention, the rotation guiding elements comprise a first guiding element borne by the support and configured to cooperate with a second guiding element borne by the optical deflection elements.

Vehicle-mounted headlamp

A vehicle-mounted headlamp using an LED includes a projector lens projecting the LED light to the vehicle front. A light distribution member forming a low-beam lamp light distribution includes: a first incident surface through which the LED light emitted frontward enters; a first reflecting surface disposed on an optical axis such that a projector lens side edge overlaps an LED side focus of the projector lens; a second incident surface and a second reflecting surface disposed on an upper side of the optical axis such that the LED light emitted upward enters through the second incident surface and is reflected frontward by the second reflecting surface; and a third incident surface and a third reflecting surface disposed on the upper side of the optical axis such that the LED light emitted downward enters through the third incident surface and is reflected frontward by the third reflecting surface.

LIGHTING DEVICE AND VEHICLE LIGHTING SYSTEM WITH SAME

A lighting device includes a thermal sensor, power converter circuits and a control circuit. The thermal sensor is configured to measure an internal temperature of a case. The power converter circuits are housed in the case and configured to be connected with different types of light sources, respectively. The control circuit is housed in the case and has priorities that are provided with respect to the different types of light sources according to their respective types. The control circuit is configured to, when the internal temperature is greater than a threshold, control the respective outputs of the power converter circuits so as to preferentially decrease an output for a light source corresponding to a first priority.
