A lighting device for a motor vehicle includes one or more first lighting units, each of which is configured to generate a light distribution for a dipped beam function and/or a high beam function, and one or more second lighting units, each of which is configured to generate a light distribution for another lighting function. The first lighting unit(s) and the second lighting unit(s) are all covered by a common outer light panel which is translucent at least in some sections and via which light originating from the first lighting unit(s) and from the second lighting unit(s) exits from the lighting device. Each of the first lighting unit(s) is arranged at a distance from the outer light panel. Each of the second lighting unit(s) is rigidly connected to the outer light panel or is arranged at a distance from the outer light panel.

SMART HEADLIGHT

A smart headlight includes a headlight mount, a main light source, a lens and a light-shielding structure. The main light source is disposed on the headlight mount. The lens is connected to the headlight mount and corresponds in position to the main light source. The light shielding structure is disposed on the headlight mount and arranged between the main light source and the lens. The light shielding structure includes a first light-shielding plate and a second light-shielding plate. The first light-shielding plate is configured to reciprocally move between an upright position and a reclined position, such that a top portion of the second light-shielding plate can be covered by or exposed from the first light-shielding plate.

Three part headlamp assembly

An assembly comprises a housing, a bezel and a lens, or a housing heat sink, a housing rim, a bezel and a lens, wherein the housing or the housing heat sink comprises a first surface and the bezel or the housing rim comprises a second surface, a portion of a first surface of the housing or housing heat sink is molded to a portion of the second surface forming an interface surface, the interface surface having an interface angle that does not deviate more than 90 degrees, measured from a central axis perpendicular to the bezel and the housing around which the bezel and the housing are molded, for all interface angles about the central axis.
