ANAMORPHIC DIRECTIONAL ILLUMINATION DEVICE
An anamorphic directional illumination device may provide a near-eye display apparatus or a vehicle external light device. The anamorphic near-eye display apparatus includes an illumination system including a spatial light modulator, an optical system including a transverse anamorphic component, an extraction waveguide including a polarization-sensitive reflector and an array of extraction features, a lateral anamorphic component, a light reversing reflector, and a polarisation conversion retarder disposed between a polarisation-sensitive reflector and the light reversing reflector. The polarisation conversion retarder has a retardance of a quarter wavelength at a wavelength of visible light. A thin, transparent and efficient anamorphic display apparatus for Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality displays and for scene illumination is provided.
Flexible directional vehicle warning light
Disclosed is a directional warning light designed to bend along its longitudinal axis up to about 30 per side so as to conform to curved vehicle surfaces. Flexible components of the disclosed embodiments allow the bending and include a bendable optic, bendable base, and bendable circuit substrate.
GPS tracking system
An LED taillight with an integrated GPS tracking system is disclosed therein. The GPS tracking system is hidden behind the LED portion of the LED taillight so that the GPS tracking system is not noticeable by someone inspecting a trailer on which the LED taillight is installed. Additionally, power sent to the LED taillight to power the LEDs also recharge a battery associated with the GPS tracking system and power the GPS tracking system during use.
AIRCRAFT TAIL NAVIGATION LIGHT, AIRCRAFT COMPRISING AN AIRCRAFT TAIL NAVIGATION LIGHT, AND METHOD OF OPERATING AN AIRCRAFT TAIL NAVIGATION LIGHT
An aircraft tail navigation light comprises: a navigation lighting assembly for emitting a regular navigation light output; and an orientation lighting assembly for emitting an orientation light output. The aircraft tail navigation light is switchable between emitting the regular navigation light output having a navigation light intensity and emitting the orientation light output having an orientation light intensity, with the navigation light intensity being larger than the orientation light intensity
ILLUMINATED SIGN DEVICE WITH REPLACEABLE LENS
A sign device is disclosed. The device includes a mounting frame for mounting a light box to a surface of a vehicle; a lens frame for coupling to the mounting frame and movable between an open position and closed position; and a removable lens retainable by the lens frame such that, when the light box is activated with the lens frame in the closed position, the light box back lights the lens. In the closed position, a seal seals a space between the lens and the light box.
Lighting device for a motor vehicle
A lighting device for a motor vehicle includes a lighting component having one or more light sources and one or more transparent facet bodies, each of which bodies has a surface consisting of a plurality of planar first facets. Light originating from the one or more light sources is radiated into the one or more transparent facet bodies as first luminous radiation. The first luminous radiation is at least partially refracted on first facets of the one or more transparent facet bodies and subsequently exits the lighting device as second luminous radiation in order to produce light distribution. One or more translucent optical components are located in the lighting device between the lighting component and the one or more transparent facet bodies.
