Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with ground illumination and icon projection module

A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror casing, a mirror reflective element and a ground illumination module having a freeform optic, a ground illumination light source, and first, second and third icon light sources. With the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly mounted at the side of the vehicle and when the ground illumination light source is electrically powered to emit light, light emitted by the ground illumination light source that passes through the freeform optic illuminates the ground region adjacent to and along the side of the vehicle with a ground illumination intensity. When each individual icon light source is electrically powered to emit light, light emitted by the respective icon light source projects a respective projected image onto an icon region that is within the ground region. The respective projected images are individually projected to provide animated images projected onto the icon region.

A vehicular ground illumination module includes first, second and third icon LEDs, and first, second and third masks associated with respective ones of the first, second and third LEDs. A ground illumination LED and a freeform optic of the module function to, when the ground illumination LED electrically powered, illuminate the ground adjacent the side of the vehicle at which the module is mounted, with a ground illumination region of the ground being illuminated at a ground illumination intensity and an icon region of the ground being illuminated at an icon illumination intensity that is less than the ground illumination intensity. When the first, second and third icon LEDs are individually electrically powered to emit light, light emitted by the LEDs passes through the respective masks to project first, second and third projected images that provide animated images at the icon region of the ground adjacent the vehicle.

Exterior illumination and icon projection module for vehicle

An illumination module for a vehicle includes first, second and third LEDs, and first, second and third masks aligned in with respective ones of the first, second and third LEDs. Light emitted by the first LED that passes through the first mask is a first color and light emitted by the second LED that passes through the second mask is a second color and light emitted by the third LED that passes through the third mask is a third color. When the LEDs are electrically powered to emit light, light emitted by the LEDs passes through the respective masks to project first, second and third projected images at a ground area adjacent the vehicle, each projected image having the respective color. The projected images overlap at the ground area and, combined, establish a multi-color logo or indicia at the ground area adjacent the vehicle.

Colored light assembly for an automotive vehicle

An automotive vehicle includes a body, a housing disposed on the body, and an exterior lens coupled to the housing defining a cavity therebetween. The vehicle additionally includes an interior lens disposed in the cavity. The exterior and interior lenses have distinct first and second colors, respectively. The vehicle also includes a reflector disposed in the cavity. The reflector has an at least partially reflective coating disposed thereon and is positioned to reflect light from the interior lens and to the exterior lens. The vehicle further includes first and second light sources configured to emit light having a third color. The first light source is oriented to direct light through the exterior lens without passing through the interior lens, and the second light source is oriented to direct light through the interior lens, reflect from the reflector, and subsequently through the exterior lens.

A vehicle lamp includes a long lamp component, and the lamp component includes a plurality of divided parts arranged in a longitudinal direction thereof and interconnected by a joint structure. The joint structure includes a first claw configured to connect upper surfaces of two adjacent divided parts of the plurality of divided parts and a first claw receiving hole fitted into the first claw, and a second claw configured to connect lower surfaces of the two divided parts and a second claw receiving hole fitted into the second claw.

Vehicle Lighting and/or Signalling Device

A lighting device comprising at least two LED light sources, powered and activated separately, each facing a respective light input wall of a corresponding light guide, the light guides transmit and emit the light of the LED light sources through at least two distinct lighting faces at a front wall of the lighting device. The light guides are provided with diffuser extractor elements arranged on a rear wall of the light guide, opposite the front wall, and shaped so as to extract the light outside the lighting device. The light guides are juxtaposed and adjacent to each other at at least one respective inner wall. The light guides are mechanically and optically separated by barrier elements which prevent the passage of light between the light guides at one inner wall. The barrier elements are separator septa opaque to the light extending from the rear wall to the front wall, crossing it completely.
