SELF-LEVELING LAMP SHADE
A leveling system for a lamp shade can include a bearing, a stud extension, and a weight. The bearing can be positionable around a stud of a lamp shade assembly and can be configured to be supported by a bracket of the lamp shade assembly. The bearing can define a bearing surface engageable with a hub of the lamp shade to provide an articulation surface for the hub. The weight can be releasably securable to a spoke of the lamp shade and can be positionable on the spoke to level the lamp shade about the bearing with respect to a plane.

A disinfecting light fixture and method of disinfecting a room are provided. The disinfecting light fixture includes a housing that houses one or more light-producing element sand one or more UVC irradiation elements in separate compartments. The housing includes panels associated with the light-producing element and the one or more UVC irradiation elements that can be opened and closed to expose the light-producing element or the one or more UVC irradiation elements at selected times, and sensors that can detect heat or motion indicating the presence of a human or animal in the room and can activate the opening and closing of panels in response to such detection.

Embodiments can help permit a user to adjust the light affecting that user's work space so a common lighting arrangement affecting many different work spaces' within a common area (e.g. an office floor or large office room within a building, etc.) so that the illumination provided by one or more light sources to illuminate the common area can be adjusted to meet a particular user's preferences within a particular work space within that common work area.

The breath synchronization lighting devices and apparatus helps the user to regulate their breathing rate by moving a light source with respect to a stationary shade or cover. The shade or cover, optionally perforated or with an integrated obscuring pattern, partially blocks the light created by the light source. The result is the generation of a shadow pattern on adjacent surfaces. As the light moves with respect to the cover, the shadow pattern correspondingly moves on the surface is surrounding the device. The result is a cycling shadow pattern on adjacent surfaces, the pattern timed to match the ideal breathing rate of the user, helping the user to slow their breathing and reach a calm and meditative state.
