Light assemblies for electronic devices

Devices that include light assemblies for providing visual feedback to users that operate the electronic devices. In some instances, the devices comprise voice-controlled devices and, therefore, include one or more microphones for receiving audible commands from the users. After receiving a command, for instance, one such voice-controlled device may cause a corresponding light assembly of the device to illuminate in some predefined manner. This illumination may indicate to the user that device has received the command. In other instances, the devices may illuminate the lighting assembly for an array of other purposes. For instance, one such device may illuminate the corresponding light assembly when powering on or off, playing music, outputting information to a user (e.g., via a speaker or display), or the like.

An apparatus for providing reflective lighting. The apparatus includes a light source for providing an initial light wave having first light wave characteristics and a surface having a reflective material which alters the characteristics of the light emanating from the light source, providing a secondary light having second light wave characteristics. The first light wave may not be visible to the human eye and the secondary light may be visible to the human eye. The first light wave may include invisible frequencies which are converted to visible light frequencies upon striking the reflective material.

A steerable illumination fixtures include an emitting source and a refractive optical system that steers an emitted beam by relative translation of the emitting source against the optical system. The light emitting source may be placed along an optical axis of one or more lenses to produce an output beam along that axis, or translated in-plane (orthogonal to the optical axis) relative to the lenses to produce a steered beam. The optical system may include refractive lenses and in some embodiments mixing channels and/or one or more baffles with apertures. The design is typically optimized to produce a round, uniform beam that retains approximately the same power level and beam width as it is steered. It is beneficial, but not required, that a second lens have a diameter equal to or larger than a first lens. The lenses may be configured so that the effective focal plane of the two lenses together is located approximately at the plane of the light emitting source.

LIGHTING APPARATUS

A lighting apparatus includes a limit switch, a wiring box, a base holder and a light source module. The wiring box is for disposing the limit switch and for receiving a power wire connected to an external power. The base holder having a terminal connector electrically connected to the wiring box. The base holder has an opening for inserting a lever of the limit switch. The light source module is installed into the base holder. The light source module triggers the lever of the limit switch to turn on power supply to the light source module via the power wire and the terminal connector.

Light source device comprising wavelength converting member with first converting material and second converting material that emits light having a wavelength longer than the first with an after glow time of the second longer than an emission

A wavelength converting member includes a first wavelength converting material and a second wavelength converting material. The emission wavelength of the second wavelength converting material is longer than the emission wavelength of the first wavelength converting material, and in the second wavelength converting material, the time from when excitation light stops to when fluorescence stops is an afterglow time, and the afterglow time is longer than the emission time of the first wavelength converting material and is 1 s or less. A light source device includes the wavelength converting member and a light source unit. A lighting device includes the wavelength converting member, a light source device, and a light guide disposed between the light source unit and the wavelength converting member.

Retainer ring for a light fixture

A retainer ring for a light fixture includes a cylindrical main body section that defines a cylindrical axis, and an inner retaining flange that extends radially inward from a distal end of the main body section. The inner retaining flange extends substantially about a circumference of the distal end. One or more coupling features extend radially inward from the retainer ring. A customization kit for a light engine that defines an optical axis includes a retainer ring configured to couple with the light engine, and two or more primary optics that are mechanically compatible with the light engine, and retainable to the light engine with the retainer ring. When the retainer ring couples with the light engine, a cylindrical axis of the retainer ring coincides with the optical axis.
