Control means for vortex flame device
The present invention is a torch lamp for use during festive occasions having a proximal end that is capable of supporting a flame, a distal end that is open, a central axis extending from the proximal end to the distal end, a plurality of walls about the central axis defining a chamber and being radially spaced about the central axis, and one or more flame control devices. The walls substantially enclose the chamber and at least one wall is offset with respect to the central axis as to another wall such that the edge of one wall is offset from the edge of an adjacent wall forming a gap. The flame control device comprises a filter portion and a handle portion. The filter portion may be planar or nonplaner and contains one or more cutouts. The handle portion extends away from the filter portion and is used to maneuver the flame control device over the flame. One or more flame control devices may be positioned over the flame through gaps formed between the offset walls. Cutouts found on the filter portion alter the configuration of the flame and the flame's intensity.

LIGHTING DEVICE WITH NARROW LIGHT EMITTING AREA
A lighting device contains light-emitting elements and has an elongated shape. The lighting device has a housing that has reflective side walls extending in a longitudinal direction of the housing; a cavity formed between the reflective side walls; and light-emitting elements arranged at least partially along the longitudinal direction relative to each other in the cavity. An opening of the cavity forms a light-emitting area, A width of the cavity expands from the light-emitting elements towards the opening at least in sections. A reflective element covers at least a section of the opening and reflects a part of light emitted from the light-emitting elements towards the cavity and reduces a width of the light-emitting area compared to a width of the opening.
LED lighting element and method of manufacturing the same
Methods and apparatus are presented for retaining a dome lens in a lighting element that provides a projection of light forming a substantially uniform bright light on a surface a known distance from the lighting element. The lighting element includes a dome lens that is removably positioned proximal to a light source, such that the light source is retained at a location within a focal length of a projection lens and at or within a focal length of the dome lens. The dome lens magnifies the light outputted by the light source, such that the projected light is brighter than the light generated by the light source.
