SPECIAL EFFECTS SYSTEM FOR GENERATING A MIDAIR LASER BLAST ILLUSION
A special effects apparatus for generating an illusion of a moving beam of light in midair. The apparatus includes a light source, such as a laser light source outputting colored light, generating a beam of light that is aimed along a linear light travel path. The apparatus further includes a dynamic light receiving assembly, and this assembly includes: an elongated support rod; a light receiving element attached to a first end of the support rod; and a driver coupled to a second end of the support rod opposite the first end of the support rod. The driver rotates the support rod about the second end at a high rotation rate, and the light receiving element moves along an arcuate travel path that intersects the linear light travel path of the beam of light. The arcuate travel path of the light receiving element and the linear light travel path are coplanar.

Beam framing system for an automated luminaire
Described are an improved automated luminaire and automated luminaire system with both a spot light and wash light mode of operation, which employs an improved beam shutter blade system that serves as framing shutters in spot light mode and barn doors in wash light mode.
Shabbat Bulb with GEAR Controlled Blackout Mechanism
A Shabbat bulb and a related method allows control of illumination without electrical intervention by a person observing strictures of Shabbat orthodox Jewish law. The bulb includes a blackout mechanism with shutter disc having at least one disc aperture for transmission of light and gear teeth; and an arm projecting radially outward from the shutter disc fitted with drive gear teeth. Manual rotation of the arm engages drive gear teeth with shutter disc gear teeth moving the disc apertures from an open to a closed position respectively allowing full or totally no illumination to exit the bulb.
FILTER APPARATUS
A filter apparatus is a filter apparatus that transmits light emitted by a light source (a lighting apparatus), and the filter apparatus includes a simulated object that receives the light emitted by the light source, a driving device that mechanically moves the simulated object, and a first lens that transmits the light emitted by the light source and having passed through the simulated object. The filter apparatus projects, onto an illumination surface, a projection image of fluctuation of light and shadow formed by the light emitted by the light source and having passed through the simulated object and the first lens.
Candle flame simulation using a projection system
Electric candles are described having a candle-shaped housing, a flame element extending from the housing and one or more projectors disposed within the candle-shaped housing such that a media file can be projected on to a first surface of the flame element using the pico projector. The flame element could be fixed or move with respect to the housing. The flame element could be transient and only exist when the candle is on.

LIGHTING DEVICE WITH SELECTIVELY ADJUSTABLE ILLUMINATED HEIGHT/WIDTH RATIO
A lighting device includes a base configured to be attachable to a support structure. A light housing is coupled to the base and is configured to be engageable with a light source to illuminate a light beam along an illumination axis. The light housing is attached to the base in a manner which allows the light housing to be moveable relative to the base. A beam modifying device is configured to be selectively attachable to the light housing in optical alignment with the light source. The light housing is configured such that movement of the light housing relative to the base facilitates adjustment of the position of an illuminated area. The beam modifying device is configured such that attachment of the beam modifying device to the light housing facilitates adjustment of the size of the illuminated area.
Track Light With Integral Uplight System
A light fixture has an elongated track comprising an upper channel comprising a first wall having a first slot and a second wall having a second slot. The assembly has a support assembly comprising a base and a swivel arm rotatably attached to the base at a swivel. The base comprising a first flange received in the first slot and a second flange received in the second slot, said base extending across the upper channel. The swivel arm has a first end and a second end. The swivel is disposed at the first end and a cable connector is disposed at a second end of the swivel arm. The cable connector receives a cable therein.
Illumination device
An illumination device includes a light source configured to emit laser light; and a wavelength conversion part configured to convert a wavelength of the laser light emitted from the light source and to irradiate illumination light. The wavelength conversion part includes a conversion region provided with a phosphor which converts the wavelength of the laser light and emits the wavelength-converted laser light, and a non-conversion region not provided with the phosphor and configured to transmit the laser light irradiated from the light source. The non-conversion region is formed in a pinhole shape with respect to the conversion region.
