When the lamp body is rotated, the relative position of the second electrical contact and the first electrical contact is fixed.
Method and assembly for replacing fluorescent lights
End caps that attach to any standard tubing to facilitate mounting a tube with LEDs into an existing fluorescent lamp cabinet. The tube can be cut to a desired length. The end caps can be supported by the fluorescent fixtures or mounting brackets in the cabinet. An assembly comprising a light emitting diode (LED) lamp for replacing fluorescent tube lights.
NETWORKED LED LIGHTING SYSTEM
An improved LED lighting system is provided for overhead ceiling lighting, as well as for other uses. The LED lighting system comprises elongated linear lamps having an LED luminary as a source of illumination and configured to operate as a node of an automated networked lighting system. The linear LED lamps have internal modular network connectors and control components so that they can receive control data and power signals over a single network cable according to a standardized power and data network communications architecture such as Ethernet. The system includes connector assemblies designed to securely mount the networkable linear LED lamps to conventional tube lamp lighting fixtures or to another support housing and to provide integrated power and data connectivity to internal components of the lamps. In one form, the disclosed system includes a network enabled snap-fit connector assembly mounted to a lighting fixture and configured to provide Ethernet power and data connectivity to the lamp. The LED lamps have first and second mechanical connectors at opposite ends of the lamp body, and the snap-fit connectors are configured to secure the lamps to an overhead lighting fixture or other support structure as an incident of the lamp ends moving relative to the mounting connectors in a substantially straight path that is transverse to the length of the body into an engaged position. The snap-fit connectors are also configured to form a network connection with an internal modular network connector associated with the lamp with the lamp mounted in its operative state on a support. In another form, a clipping mechanism is provided for mounting linear networkable LED lamps to an overhead grid ceiling system.
Lampholder and luminaire
A lampholder and a luminaire are provided. The lampholder includes a recess, a base of which has a luminous unit installing side; and a reflecting flank, extending from the recess and having a reflecting face facing the luminous unit installing side. The luminaire includes the lampholder. With the lampholder and the luminaire, conventionally discrete lampholder and light reflecting shade are made into an integral lampholder, so that structure is more simple, and the connecting step of a light emitting shade and a lampholder is cut down. In addition, the recess configuration of the lampholder is usable for accommodating an externally arranged power supply of a luminous unit, thereby saving the storage space, and reducing the warehousing and logistics costs.
LIGHT TUBE AND POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
A replacement light tube for replacing a fluorescent light tube includes a bulb portion extending between a first end and a second end, the bulb portion comprising a support structure, a plurality of white light emitting diodes (LEDs) and an elongate light-transmissive cover. The support structure has a first surface extending between the first end and the second end. The plurality of LEDs are supported by the first surface and arranged between the first end and the second end. The elongate light-transmissive cover extends between the first end and the second end and over the first surface of the support structure. A first end cap and a second end cap are disposed on the first end and the second end, respectively, each configured to fit with a socket for a fluorescent light tube. A power supply circuit is configured to provide power to the plurality of LEDs. The plurality of LEDs are arranged to emit light through the elongate light-transmissive cover and at least a portion of the power supply circuit is packaged inside at least one of the end caps.
LED lighting system with centrally held longitudinally extending LED lamps and method thereof
An LED lighting system having at least one longitudinally extending LED lamp with a sole LED lamp holder on each of the at least one longitudinally extending LED lamps is presently disclosed. An LED lamp mount is configured to connect, and unconnect, with the LED lamp holder and hold and energize each of the at least one longitudinally extending LED lamps. The LED lamp mount is configured for mounting the LED lighting system. Also presently disclosed is a method for installing a lighting system.
