Handle device for surgical light comprising sensors as well as surgical light
The present application relates to a handle device for a surgical light. The handle device may include a grip element which is prepared for being arranged on a lamp holding body of the surgical light and which forms a grip surface at an outer area. A sensor module is detachably connected to the grip element, with the sensor module including at least one distance sensor which is designed for detecting a position of an object. The present application further includes a surgical light including such a handle device.
Aerodynamic surgical light and boom systems
Disclosure herein are aerodynamic surgical lights and methods of manufacturing and use thereof. The aerodynamic surgical lights may include a light head made of one or more substantially toroidal light housings. The substantially toroidal light housings contain and protect a plurality of LED lights and their respective reflectors that aim a light beam toward the lower side of the substantially toroidal light housings. The substantially toroidal light housings are vertically elongate. The vertically elongated substantially toroidal light housings include upper sections that are aerodynamically curved or pointed to streamline airflow past the light housings. The upper sections of the substantially toroidal light housings are made of molded plastic resin reinforced with carbon fibers or glass fibers and the lower sections of the substantially toroidal light housings are made of a clear moldable plastic.
Lighting appliance with removable handle
A lighting appliance (1) comprises a light module (2) having a base (6) designed to receive a handle (5) provided with a grip stick (10), the handle (5) being arranged such that it can be inserted axially in removable manner into a ring (7, 7) arranged on the base (6). The handle (5) is withdrawn axially from the base (6) by turning the ring (7, 7) relative to the base (6).
Scialytic LED lamp, particularly for operating rooms and the like
A scialytic LED lamp, particularly for operating rooms and the like, includes a first ring that includes a plurality of first LED light sources, first and second annular reflectors, and a second ring that includes a plurality of second LED light sources, a third annular reflector, and a fourth annular reflector. The scialytic LED lamp also includes a first light radiation emitted by the first LED light sources reflected initially by the first annular reflector and then by the second annular reflector in order to illuminate an operating area. A second light radiation emitted by the second LED light sources is reflected initially by the third annular reflector and then by the fourth annular reflector in order to illuminate the operating area.
STERILIZABLE HANDLE ACTUATING BUTTON INTEGRATION
A handle assembly comprised of a base and a detachable handle that mounts to the base. The base includes integrated electronics, such as switches. The detachable handle includes buttons for activating the switches.
Surgical Light Having Means for Measuring Distance
The invention relates to a surgical light comprising a light unit which has a plurality of light sources individually accommodated in a housing, wherein each light source is arranged and oriented in such a way that the light source produces a light beam in an energized state; an anchoring element which is prepared for fastening to a ceiling, a wall or a floor of a room; and a retaining arm system which connects the light unit slidably and/or pivotably to the anchoring element, wherein a position detection device is arranged and designed in such a way that, in the operating state, the position detection device determines a distance of a reference section of the light unit or of the retaining arm system from the ceiling.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A MEDICAL LIGHT VIA A HANDLE
Systems, devices, and methods are described herein to prevent or reverse inadvertent adjustment of a function of a medical light while the medical light is being repositioned by a user using the handle assembly. The medical light may include at least one movement sensor and a controller that determines the medical light is being repositioned based on movement detected by the movement sensor. In response to determining that the medical light is being repositioned, the controller may disable adjustment of at least one function of the medical light by at least one user input interface of the handle assembly. The controller may enable adjustment of a setting of at least one function while the medical light is being repositioned, but reset the function after the medical light is no longer being repositioned to the setting it was operating at prior to the medical light being repositioned.
Overhead light shield
An overhead light shield is disclosed including a first and a second optically transparent film being partially circle. The first and second optically transparent film includes a notch. The first and second optically transparent films have an upper film side and a lower film side wherein the lower film side has an adhesive layer. The first and second optically transparent films include a plurality of film tabs extending outwardly from the optically transparent circumferential edges. The optically transparent films are protected by a first and a second peel-away film that is removably affixed. The peel-away films contain tabs extending outwardly from the first peel-away film circumferential edges. The optically transparent film tabs and the peel-away film tabs define grasping tabs for positioning the optically transparent film to the surgical room light. The optically transparent film adhesive layers couple the optically transparent films to the surgical room light.
Sterile Barrier for Surgical Lightheads
An infection mitigation device providing a temporary, disposable sterile barrier between a sterile field and the non-sterile, light-emitting region of surgical lightheads. A surgical team member can easily apply and remove the protective barrier when needed. The device minimizes the opportunity for biohazardous materials from being transmitted between patients, thereby reducing the chance of infection, and ultimately providing patients with improved clinical outcomes. The center region of the barrier can be adapted to receive and/or cover (partially or completely) one or more types of centrally located surgical lighthead adjustment handles. The device can be manufactured with a unitary or composite construction. Depending on the specific composition of the barrier and application, a supportive carrier device may provide additional geometric stability for the barrier while it is maneuvered into its operational location on the lighthead. The device can be configured for compatibility will all surgical lightheads and non-OEM retrofit disposable handle systems.
