The switch can be operatively coupled to a zipper system of a container such that a zipper slider, when moved to a closed position of the zipper system, contact the extending portion of the arm to provide the actuating force. A circuit is formed by electrically connecting the switch to a battery and light source. The light source illuminates the interior of the container when the zipper slider is moved from a closed zipper system position.

A portable lighting device includes a housing, a light source supported by the housing, and an alkaline battery positioned within the housing and coupled to the light source. The alkaline battery is configured to provide a drive current to the light source, and an intensity of the light source is dependent on the drive current. The portable lighting device also includes an electronic processor positioned within the housing and coupled to the light source and the alkaline battery. The electronic processor is configured to monitor a voltage of the alkaline battery, and execute a ramp-up algorithm to control the drive current based on the voltage of the alkaline battery.

User-wearable illumination assembly

In one aspect, a user-wearable illumination assembly includes eyeglass frames and a headlamp removably coupled to the eyeglass frames. Electrical circuitry may be integrated with the eyeglass frames. The headlamp and the eyeglass frames have mounting structure that cooperate to removably support the headlamp thereon. A light source is disposed within the headlamp and electrical communication between the light source and the electrical circuitry of the eyeglass frames is provided by electrical contacts associated with the mounting structures of the headlamp and eyeglass frames. In another aspect, a user-wearable illumination assembly for use with eyeglass frames includes a clip assembly that is selectively removably couplable to a bridge portion of the eyeglass frames, and a headlamp coupled to the clip assembly. The illumination assembly further includes a battery that is selectively removably couplable to the eyeglass frames and at least one electrical conductor coupling the battery to the headlamp.
