The invention relates to a power cable comprising at least one conductor element (10) and which additionally comprises at least one strip (16) arranged on at least one portion of the length of said conductor element (10). The strip (16) is equipped with a winding-free energy recovery system which supplies the strip (16) with electric current from the energy available in the conductor (10). The strip (16) has a plurality of elements (18) which generate light from this electric current.

Modular LED luminaire assemblies with separate mechanical and electrical connecting elements

A plurality of interconnectable modules includes an electronic module and a first optical module. The first optical module includes a tray with a bottom surface and a side surface, a LED array provided on a printed circuit board disposed on the bottom surface, and an at least partially light-transmitting optical cover closing the tray. The electronic module includes a housing with a bottom wall and a sidewall, a LED driver circuitry for driving the LED array of the printed circuit board, and a door closing the housing. The side surface includes a first electrical connector and a first mechanical connector and the sidewall includes a second electrical connector and a second mechanical connector. The first and second electrical connectors are cooperating to electrically interconnect the electronic module to the first optical module, while the first and second mechanical connectors cooperate to mechanically secure them together.

HANDRAIL INSTALLATION WITH EMERGENCY LIGHTING
20190078771 · 2019-03-14 ·

A handrail installation with emergency lighting for tunnels, comprising a handrail, a closed cable duct, at least one flat cable that is installed along the closed cable duct, and multiple branching boxes for contacting the flat cable without stripping of insulation. The branching boxes contact the flat cable within the closed cable duct. The handrail and the cable duct rest on support surfaces, which are different from one another, on the top side of multiple support members, and the handrail is provided separately from the closed cable duct and the support members, the cable duct is provided separately from the support members, and the handrail is situated above the closed cable duct. The emergency lighting includes multiple lamps situated in succession, which are placed at the branching boxes and are supplied with power by same. The lamps are passed through superposed installation openings in the floor of the cable duct, in the direction of the tunnel floor, so that the lamps radiate into an area below the closed cable duct. The closed cable duct and the support members are made of fireproof metal, and the flat cable as well as the branching boxes have a fireproof design.

LED light fixture for use in public transportation facilities

LED lighting systems, mounting configurations, and light fixtures are disclosed for original and retrofit configurations. Some configurations mount the light fixture with a mounting bracket that allows for the removal and replacement of the light fixture in about the same time as a traditional light bulb change. Some configurations provide for fuse removal and replacement without the need to dismount the light fixture from its mounting bracket or without the need to open the housing of the light fixture to access the fuses. Some configurations use a battery backup system and self-check methods with LED light fixtures configured for public transportation applications.

LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICE, LAMP, AND LIGHTING FIXTURE

Provided are a light-emitting device, a lighting appliance, and a lighting fixture that emit light that tends to promote melatonin secretion. The light-emitting device, the lighting appliance, and the lighting fixture include a light-emitting element having an emission peak wavelength in a range of 400 nm to 490 nm and a first phosphor having an emission peak wavelength in a range of 570 nm to 680 nm. The emitted light has a correlated color temperature that is 1950 K or less, an average color rendering index Ra that is 40 or greater, a full width at half maximum of an emission spectrum indicating a maximum emission intensity in an emission spectrum of the light-emitting device that is 110 nm or less, and a melanopic ratio MR derived from Equation (1) that is 0.233 or less.

LUMINAIRE ASSEMBLIES FOR TUNNELS AND THE LIKE

An assembly, in particular a luminaire assembly, more in particular for use in tunnels, comprising a trunking profile having an open side, a cover configured to close the open side of the trunking profile, and a light source and/or one or more electrical and/or electronic components arranged in said trunking profile, wherein said cover is provided with a gasket arranged around a periphery of the cover, and wherein the trunking profile is configured to be elastically flexed so as to widen the open side in order to receive the cover and to enclose a portion of the periphery with gasket under tension when deflexed.

Light fixture having retractable front panel surface

A light fixture which is configured to be embedded in a surface is provided. The light fixture includes a light source and a front panel located in front of the light source. A frame is in contact with a front panel surface of the front panel. A pressure mechanism is configured to press the front panel surface against the frame. A fixing piece is provided at a position opposite to the front panel. The fixing piece extends outward from the base surface side to fix the frame to an external structure. The pressure mechanism is retractable by a distance greater than a thickness of the front panel when a pushing force is applied to the front panel surface. The front panel is movable in a direction perpendicular to a retractable direction of the pressure mechanism when the pressure mechanism is retracted.

LED ILLUMINATION MODULE

An LED illumination module is described, where a row of LED elements (1) is arranged via a substrate (16) on a secondary cooling element (2). The secondary cooling element (2) can consist of a first material layer (16, 17) of copper and a second material layer (18) of aluminium. In such material combinations, phononic refraction leads to a good lateral heat distribution, which improves the heat flow and reduces temperature gradients. Alternatively or in addition thereto, the secondary cooling element (2) can be equipped with heat pipes. The LED elements (1) are electrically contacted by means of a current supply member (21) arranged at a distance from the substrate (16).
