Street light mosquito zapper
In one aspect, an exterior lighting insect zapper includes a photosensor configured to sense an amount of light for turning on or off an exterior light and an insect zapper coupled to the photosensor. The exterior lighting insect zapper also includes a twist-lock plug compatible with a receptacle of an exterior light for a photosensor unit plug, such that the exterior lighting insect zapper can replace existing photosensors of exterior light fixtures.
Twist-lock connector system having a light sensor assembly
A twist-lock connector system includes a first twist-lock connector including a first connector housing holding first twist-lock contacts at a first rotate-to-mate interface. The first twist-lock connector includes a first high speed electrical connector. The first high speed electrical connector is movable relative to the first connector housing between a home position and a rotated position. The first twist-lock connector includes a biasing member coupled to the first high speed electrical connector to bias the first high speed electrical connector to the home position. The twist-lock connector system includes a second twist-lock connector having a second connector housing holding second twist-lock contacts and a second high speed electrical connector at a mating interface.
WIND POWER GENERATOR FOR STREET LIGHT
The present invention relates to a wind power generator for street light comprising: a post member installed vertically; a central fixed shaft member installed horizontally on an upper portion of the post member; a first blade member rotatably installed around the central fixed shaft member and including a first blade rotated by wind on one side thereof; a second blade member rotatably installed around the first blade member and including a second blade rotated by wind on one side thereof; a cone member having an inclined shape at a specific angle so that wind smoothly moves toward the first blade member and the second blade member, and a power generation module rotated by the first blade member and the second blade member to generate power. According to the present invention, the first blade member and the second blade member can supply sufficient torque required for the rotation of the power generation module and can increase power generation time by driving the power generation module with the double blades. In addition, it is possible to minimize the installation space and reduce the size of the wind power generator by installing the first rotating shaft and the second rotating shaft in a double layer structure.
Luminaire Head with Improved Heatsink
Example embodiments relate to luminaire heads with improved heatsinks. One embodiment includes an assembly, such as a luminaire head. The assembly includes a housing and an electrical component, such as a light source, arranged in the housing. The housing has a first side and an optional second side opposite the first side. At least the first side is provided with a heatsink portion having an outer surface provided with multiple heatsink elements protruding outwardly out of the outer surface. A heatsink element thereof has a base and a top. The heatsink element gradually widens from the top to the base.
Light source circuit unit, illuminator, and display
Provided are a light source circuit unit that improves light extraction efficiency, as well as an illuminator and a display that include such a light source circuit unit. The light source circuit unit includes: a circuit substrate having a wiring pattern on a surface thereof, the wiring pattern having light reflectivity, a circular pedestal provided on the circuit substrate, a water-repelling region provided at least from a peripheral edge portion of the pedestal to a part of a side face of the pedestal, and one or two or more light-emitting device chips mounted on the pedestal, and driven by a current that flows through the wiring pattern.
Rotating light emitting diode high mast luminaire
A power source housing for use with a high mast lighting apparatus has a front face and an opposing back face, and a first end face and a second end face disposed opposite the first end face, the first end face defines an aperture sized and shaped to receive an extension member of a high mast lighting system. At least two opposing side faces extending from the front face to the back face, and power source housing cooling fins extend outward from each of the at least two opposing side faces.
Chip-on-board design with color mixing
Some embodiments of the disclosure provide for a lighting system including a substrate. The lighting system includes several blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) supported by the substrate. The lighting system includes at least one red LED supported by the substrate. The lighting system includes a light conversion material covering the blue LEDs and the at least one red LED.
Luminaire with power failure detection
The invention relates to a luminaire with a light source comprising: a functional unit; a power supply and control unit configured for converting power from a main power source into a power signal for powering the functional unit; wherein the power supply and control unit is configured to generate a power supply failure signal when the power supply from the main power source fails and to communicate the power supply failure signal to the functional unit.
ROAD LIGHTING
Systems, devices, and methods are disclosed in which one or more light sources, a detector, a processor and a controller are configured such that light from the one or more light sources improves the ability of a human or automated motor vehicle driver to identify and avoid pedestrians. The one or more light sources may provide spot illumination to moving objects or pedestrians on a road surface, with the spot illumination following the moving object or pedestrians along the portion of the road surface. The one or more light sources may project images on the ground or on other surfaces. The light source may be carried by a pedestrian or on personal transport used by a pedestrian. The light sources may be stationary and provide lighting for a pedestrian street crossing.
