Apparatus, method, and system for precise LED lighting

Lighting applications which are particularly difficult to light because of “non-standard” target areas (or otherwise) would benefit from advancements in lighting design. That being said, conventional wisdom in lighting design has practical limitations—conventional means of visors at/on lighting fixtures (i.e., local visoring) can only become so long to provide beam cutoff before becoming prohibitively heavy or costly, for example. Local visoring can only be pivoted so far before beam shift occurs (e.g., shifting the physical location of maximum candela or photometric center), as another example. Conventional wisdom can only buy so much cutoff and beam control before the overall lighting design is impacted—and so an alternative approach is warranted. One such alternative approach which relies upon a combination of remote visoring and local visoring is discussed; additional approaches are also discussed.

High output UV sterilization module with environmental feedback and sterilization optimization

An elongated lighting module having an asymmetric illumination source formed from at least two rows of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that extend along the long axis of the module and are independently controllable. The illumination source is rectangular and oriented so that the rows of LEDs extend along the long axis of the module. The module has couplings at each end that allow additional modules to be interconnected therewith using a linking member and a clamp. The lighting modules are powered via a wiring harness that extends down a support pole to a power converter stack having LED drivers to control the modules.

A device for lighting a court including at least one lighting strip extending substantially horizontally along at least one side of the court, at a predefined height relative to the court of less than 3.5 meters. The strip includes a series of light sources distributed along its length, each of the light sources projecting a light beam oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the strip. The at least one strip includes rails which extend along a length of said strip and are suitable for holding a fixing element at any point along the length of said rails.

Integrated louvres for beam control in an LED lighting device

An optical structure for controlling distribution of light generated by a light source is described. The optical structure includes a primary optics disposed relative to the light source and configured to reflect light generated by the light source towards a target region. The optical structure also includes a secondary optics disposed and aligned relative to the primary optics. The secondary optics is configured to at least partially block light generated by the light source from illuminating a region outside the target region.

A system for lighting a volleyball court has four corner light assemblies, two side center light assemblies, and four mid-court light assemblies. Each corner light assembly has an upper light fixture adapted to emit light outward and downward at a level generally below a player's eye level and a lower light element mounted in a manner to emit light outwards and upwards. Each side center light assembly has two lower light fixtures adapted to emit light outward and downward at a level generally below a player's eye level and an upper light assembly adapted to emit light outwards and upwards at a level generally above a player's eye level. Each mid-court light assembly has a light fixture adapted to emit light outward and downward at a level generally below a player's eye level. By ensuring that no light is emitted at a player's eye level, glare is significantly reduced.

Lighting module with cutoff tuning effects

An elongated lighting module having an asymmetric illumination source formed from at least two rows of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that extend along the long axis of the module and are independently controllable. The illumination source is rectangular and oriented so that the rows of LEDs extend along the long axis of the module. The module has couplings at each end that allow additional modules to be interconnected therewith using a linking member and a clamp. The lighting modules are powered via a wiring harness that extends down a support pole to a power converter stack having LED drivers to control the modules. The asymmetric illumination source may be driven to change the beam angle and cutoff of illumination by independently adjusting the rows of light emitting diodes of the lighting module.

Reduced glare light fixtures are provided. In one example implementation, a reduced glare light fixture includes a light emitting diode (LED) system. The LED system includes at least one LED module having one or more LED devices. The reduced glare light fixture further includes a bezel physically coupled to the LED system engine. The bezel has one or more glare reduction openings. At least one of the one or more glare reduction openings is configured to be approximately coaxial with one LED of the one or more LED devices.

ADJUSTABLE LIGHT SHAPING VISOR
20210325025 · 2021-10-21 ·

A light shaping apparatus consisting of two or more components which may be die cast from aluminum, magnesium, or similar materials that are meant to be attached to existing LED venue lighting fixtures. These components are designed so that they can be rotated and adjusted on the fixture circumference/edge. A semi-circular snoot flares out slightly from the outer edge of the fixture to reflect light that would normally be absorbed by a visor. The snoot may include a reflector on its inside surface. The snoot has connection points that mate with the fixture. The snoot also has connection points which allow it to be connected to a semi-circular bowl spaded brow adapted for cutting into the beam of light and block some of light emitted from the fixture. The brow is preferably one piece and has multiple sets of thin shear lines cast into it such that the length of the brow can be modified by breaking off material along the shear lines.

The invention relates to a luminaire (20) for work events, film events or sports events. According to the invention, in order to produce a robust and simple construction of a luminaire (20), while also providing high flexibility in the use thereof and reduced power consumption, the at least one LED module (1) of such a luminaire (20) has an approximately triangular, flat basic form, a lateral surface being fitted with LEDs, preferably power LEDs, and the rear side of the LED module (1) being designed to emit thermal radiation. Connecting elements are formed on one of the side edges, which connecting elements are used by means of suitable retaining elements (21) to construct the luminaire (20). The particular advantage of the luminaire (20) is that high light intensity can be achieved in the field of use of the luminaires (20), namely for work events, film events or sports events. Because of the pivotability of individual LED modules (1), the area to be illuminated can additionally be influenced.
