Illuminator and omnidirectional illuminating system
It is herein proposed a novel illuminator and omnidirectional illuminating system making use of a novel lens. The illuminator features an artificial light source with a plurality of light emitting elements and a lens covering them. The lens has an optical portion which has a first optical surface and a second optical surface that define a thickness there between. The lens has a length in a first Cartesian dimension, a height in a second Cartesian dimension, and a depth in a third Cartesian dimension. The thickness of the optical portion is non-uniform along the first Cartesian dimension and along the third Cartesian dimension. The first optical surface is concave, when viewed in the second dimension from the point of view of the at least one artificial light source. The first optical surface is cylindrical with the cylinder axis extending in the third dimension.
ELECTRICAL BOX MOUNTING STRUCTURE PREVENTIVE OF WATER INGRESS
An electrical unit mounting assembly, having a top, bottom, back and front, and including a partial enclosure, made of insulating material, defining a cavity having a mouth at its front and defining a through-hole leading to the cavity, at its back. A panel extending outwardly from the mouth, for at least 4 cm and having a front surface. Further, when the assembly is oriented in an upright manner so that its top is topmost, the through-hole is constructed so that liquid cannot be driven by gravity from inside the cavity, through the through-hole.
Face recognition systems with external stimulus
An apparatus includes a camera and a processor. The camera may be configured to capture video data. The processor may be configured to (A) process the video data, (B) generate control signals used to initiate a stimulus and (C) execute computer readable instructions. The computer readable instructions may be executed by the processor to perform video analysis on video frames of the captured video data to (a) detect a person, (b) detect context information associated with the detected person and (c) determine facial recognition results of the detected person. If the facial recognition results cannot detect a face of the detected person, the processor selects the stimulus from a plurality of stimuli. The stimulus may be selected in response to the context information to increase a probability of detecting a frontal view of the face of the detected person.
REMOVABLE CLAMP FOR DECORATIVE LIGHTS
A removable clamp for a light string is provided. The removable clamp includes a base with engagement members designed to engage a portion of a wire of the light string; a cap with a peripheral skirt and a set of friction members designed to engage with the engagement members of the base for engaging the portion of the wire; and a magnet embedded in the base of the removable case such that the magnet does not protrude outside the base. The removable clamp wraps around the portion of wire of the light string, and then attached via the magnet to a metal surface on the outside of a building.
Emergency exit light
An emergency lighting unit includes a housing. The housing includes a base having a first compartment and a second compartment. A first cover is positioned over the first compartment. A second cover is positioned over the second compartment. A lamp support is rotatably connected to the housing. A lamp head is rotatably connected to the lamp support.
Repeatable louver accessory for luminaires
A luminaire accessory is provided. A first louver part (16) has a plurality of cells (18) arranged in a predetermined pattern and has at least one set of alignment features. A second louver part (16), unassembled is identical to the first louver part (16). When assembled, the second louver part (16) is rotated 180 with respect to the first louver part (16) and the alignment features (20) are configured to mate to a second set of alignment features (20) disposed on the second louver part (16).
