The light source arrangement may include a plurality of semiconductor laser light sources arranged in such a way that the laser light emitted by the semiconductor laser light sources is aligned in parallel, and a deflection unit configured to collect and influence all beam paths of the laser light emitted by the semiconductor laser light sources so as to form a beam. The deflection unit has a first mirror element with a concavely curved surface, which is embodied to capture and reflect the laser light emitted by the semiconductor laser light sources by the surface. The light source arrangement may further include a second mirror element with a convexly curved surface, which is embodied to capture and focus the laser light reflected by the first mirror element.

A framing system for shaping light beam comprises a frame support having a number of shutter blades surrounding said light beam, and a number of actuators that move said shutter blades in and out of said light beam. The shutter blades form a merged pile, where part of a first shutter blade is placed over a part of a second shutter blade. A first actuator rotates at least one of said shutter blades in relation to a first rotational point and a second actuator moves the first rotational point in relation to said light beam. A method of shaping a light beam is provided, and involves rotating a shutter blade around a first rotation point using a first actuator, and moving the first rotation point in relation to the light beam using a second actuator.

The blades and the diffuser are movably disposed on the support. The blades and the diffuser are actuated by independent actuators. The notches move into and out of the light path with the movements of the blades, and the diffuser covers a portion of notches that is within the light path when moving into and out of the light path. The diffuser's movement relative to the light path is not limited to that of the blades, so the diffuser can be precisely controlled to move into a specific position within the light path with an optimal trajectory and at an optimal time point. The diffuser is integrally formed without slots, ensuring diffusion of all light passing through the covered portion of the notches.

The light from the first group of light sources pass through non diffusing regions (211) of the diffuser cover without the light being diffused. The second group of light sources are interleaved with the first group by the diffuser having one or several diffusion areas between non diffusion areas. By controlling both groups of light sources based on the same target color the dotted look of led light sources can be removed or by controlling the two groups of light sources based on two different colors light effects can be obtained. The illumination device can be included in a moving head light source with a base, a yoke connected rotatably to the base and the head connected rotatably to the head.
