ELECTRIC CIGARETTE
An electric cigarette has a heating coil (24) and a wick (20) which is in contact with the heating coil (24) at at least one point. The two ends (26, 28) of the heating coil (24) are arranged in an insulating body (30). A dimensionally stable tube socket (64) is fastened on the insulating body (30). A reservoir (60) which communicates with the wick (20), is arranged in a ring-shaped manner about the tube socket (64). The insulating body (30) and the reservoir (60) are surrounded by a tubular housing (70). According to the invention, each of the two ends (26, 28) of the heating coil (24) is clamped and contacted individually in the insulating body (30), in each case by means of one contact (40, 42). Such an electric cigarette can be produced by a first unit of wick (20), heating coil (24), insulating body (30) and contacts (40, 42) being produced and a second unit of tube socket (64) and reservoir (60) being produced. In the case of the second unit, the reservoir (60) can be filled with the desired liquid from the outside. The two assemblies are fastened together and are then slid into a housing (70). The production of the first and of the second units can be effected in a random order and independently of one another.
Weed terminating device using superheated water and spring loaded discharge valve
A weed or insect terminating device features a container having a valve port, a heating element, a valve core, and a biasing mechanism forcing the valve core into an extended position. An axial passage in the valve core extends through only a distal end of the valve core. A lateral passage intersects the axial passage and opens radially from the valve core. A proximal seal is provided between the valve core and valve port at a location between a proximal end of the valve core and the opening of the lateral passage. The proximal seal withdraws from sealed contact with the port in a retracted state of the valve core, while a distal seal remains intact. Heated water from the container can be dispensed through the valve port only via the lateral and axial passages of the valve core, and only when made accessible by retraction of the valve core.
SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A surface cleaning apparatus includes a heated vapor generator for generating steam and a supply tank for containing a supply of fluid. A liquid conduit that is in fluid communication with the supply tank is in heat exchange relationship with a vapor conduit that is in fluid communication with the heated vapor generator.
APPARATUS FOR COOKING FOOD
The apparatus for cooking food with superheated steam includes an external casing (2) comprising inside a cooking chamber (4), suitable for containing one or more foods; a steam generating device (30) associated with said casing (2), capable of vaporizing a liquid; a superheating device (31) of said steam associated with said steam generating device (30), said superheating device (31) being configured to heat said steam up to an operating temperature (T) higher than the boiling temperature of said liquid and to enable said superheated steam to come out towards said cooking chamber (4).
ON-DEMAND, PORTABLE CONVECTION VAPORIZER
On-demand, hand-held vaporizer that operates primarily by convection. The vaporizer is configured to permit very rapid (e.g., within a few seconds) heating of air drawn through an oven chamber to a predetermined or selectable vaporizing temperature to vaporize a material (e.g., loose leaf plant material, etc.) that is held in the oven chamber. The vaporizer provides efficient transfer of air being heated as well as rapid delivery of vaporizable material to a user.
FLUID PERMEABLE HEATER ASSEMBLY FOR AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A FLUID PERMEABLE HEATER FOR AN AEROSOL-GENERATING SYSTEM
A cartridge for an aerosol-generating system is provided, including a liquid storage portion including a housing containing a liquid aerosol-forming substrate, the housing having an open end; and a heater assembly including: an electrical heating element configured to heat the substrate to form an aerosol, the heating element including a planar filament arrangement having one or more electrically conductive filaments, an electrically insulating substrate having a planar attachment face, the filament arrangement disposed on the planar attachment face, and connectors arranged at opposite ends of the heating element and forming two separate electrical contacts configured to apply power to the filament arrangement, at least a portion of the heater assembly is fluid-permeable, and the heater assembly is arranged over the open end of the housing.
PLASMA HEATING APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD
A plasma heating apparatus including a boiler vessel for holding water to be heated, a cathode housed in the vessel, the cathode defining a watertight cathode chamber isolated from the water in the vessel, and, an anode housed in the cathode chamber, the anode including an internal passage for receiving a gas from outside of the vessel when the passage is connected to a gas supply, and wherein the anode is connectable to a power source for receiving power for generating a plasma in the cathode chamber.
