DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING A MOTION SYSTEM
The invention relates to input devices. The claimed device comprises buttons, and a housing rigidly coupled to a control element in the form of an H-shaped frame having curved support surfaces, wherein buttons and rollers are arranged opposite each other along the side edges of the front portions of the control element, a hinge is disposed inside the housing and has a stem rigidly attached thereto, clamps are mounted on the control element in the form of an H-shaped frame, between the curved support surfaces thereof, and a regulator which controls the rigidity of movement of the hinge is disposed inside the housing, pedals and motion sensors are connected to the control element by a wired or wireless connection, the stem is rigidly coupled to a mounting bracket having adjusting clamps, the curved support surfaces are provided with a regulator for controlling their position on the control element.
6DoF inside-out tracking game controller
Methods and apparatus are provided for 6DoF inside-out tracking game control. In one novel aspect, a multi-processor architecture is used for VI-SLAM. In one embodiment, the apparatus obtains overlapping image frames and sensor inputs of an apparatus, wherein the sensor inputs comprise gyrometer data, accelerometer data and magnetometer data, splits computation work onto a plurality of vector processors to obtain six degree of freedom (6DoF) outputs of the apparatus based on a splitting algorithm, and performs a localization process to generate 6DoF estimations, and a mapping process to generate a cloud of three-dimensional points associated to the descriptors of the map. In one embodiment, the localization process and mapping process are configured to run sequentially. In another embodiment, the localization process and mapping process are configured to run in parallel.
GAME OPERATING DEVICE
A game operating device (controller) includes a longitudinal housing, and a holding portion held by hand to be wrapped by its palm it is formed in the housing. A direction switch is provided on an upper surface at a position where it can be operated by thumb of the hand holding the holding portion, and a start switch and a select switch are provided backward thereof. An X button 46 and a Y button are further arranged in line on the upper surface of the housing. An imaging information arithmetic unit is provided at a front end of the housing in a longitudinal direction in such a manner that an imaging device thereof is exposed from a front-end surface. A concave portion is formed on a lower surface at a position corresponding to the direction switch. The concave portion includes a valley and two inclined surfaces. An A button capable of being operated by index finger of the hand holding the holding portion is provided on the backward inclined surface. By processing an image signal obtained by imaging an infrared ray from LED modules by the imaging device, it is possible to obtain an operation signal varying according to a position and/or attitude of the controller.
Accelerometer sensing and object control
A handheld controller includes a three-axis, linear acceleration sensor that can detect linear acceleration in three directions, i.e., the up/down direction (Y-axis), the left/right direction (Z-axis), and the forward/backward direction (X-axis). A programmed object adjustment process adjusts a falling object to decrease the velocity v at which the object is moving in response to detected tilt changes in a first direction, and to increase the velocity v at which the object is moving in response to detected tilt changes in a second direction different from the first direction.

Operating device including a touch sensor
An operating device includes: right and left hold sections to be held by a user, the right and left hold sections provided with first operating members; and a central section interconnecting the right and left hold sections. The operating device has a second operating member forming an upper surface of the central section. The second operating member includes a touch sensor located between the first operating members of the right and left hold sections, and is so supported as to be capable of vertical movement in response to a user's pressing-down operation. The second operating member is plate-like in shape, so that user's fingers can easily reach the second operating member in a condition where the user is holding the hold sections. As a result, operability of the operating device can be enhanced.
Games controller
The invention provides an improved controller (10) for a games console. The invention is a games controller (10) that is intended to be held by a user in both hands. Additionally, the controller of the invention (10) may comprise a plurality of controls located on the front and top of the controller. The controller of the present invention (10) is advantageous as it additionally comprises at least one additional control (11 A, 11 B) located on the rear of the controller (10) in a position to be operated by the middle fingers of a user (12). The additional control (11 A, 11 B) may be a paddle lever and may replicate the function of either one of two of the controls located on the front or top of the controller (10).
CONTROLLER FOR VIDEO GAME CONSOLE
An improved controller for a game console that is intended to be held by a user in both hands in the same manner as a conventional controller, which has controls on the front operable by the thumbs, and has two additional controls located on the back in positions to be operated by the middle finger of a user.
Interactive video system and a method of controlling an interactive video system based on a motion and a sound sensors
An interactive video system includes: a display arranged to display a video; a motion sensor and/or sound sensor integrated with the display a controller, responsive to detection of a signal from the motion sensor derived when the display is moved, to cause a change in the displayed video.
Method and system for applying gearing effects to visual tracking
A system is provided, including the following: an input device, the input device including, a light emitting diode (LED) array; an image capture device configured to capture images of an interactive environment in which the input device is disposed, the image capture device configured to generate captured image data that is processed to determine a movement of the input device in the interactive environment; wherein a gearing is established that adjusts an amount by which the movement of the input device is mapped to movement of an image that is rendered to a display, the gearing changing to different settings during the movement of the image as the movement of the image is rendered to the display.
