Information processing system, storage medium storing information processing program, information processing apparatus, and information processing method
A first sensor detects a movement of a first apparatus attached to a lower body of a user, and a second sensor detects a movement of a second apparatus attached to an upper body of the user or held by a hand of the user. Then, a virtual object is caused to continue a first action in a virtual space while received outputs from the first sensor and the second sensor both satisfy a condition.
GAME OPERATING DEVICE WITH HOLDING PORTION DETACHABLY HOLDING AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A gaming device has a holding portion comprising a left side portion and a right side portion configured to detachably hold an electronic device that includes an input device located on a control surface of the electronic device and configured to receive user input. The gaming device includes a first input device configured to receive directional input, second through sixth input devices, a cross key configured to receive user input and located on the first surface of a left side portion, and an arrangement of four input buttons configured to receive user input and located on the first surface of the right side portion.
Video game using dual motion sensing controllers
A motion of a first unit is detected based on an output from a first acceleration sensor provided in a first unit of a controller, and a motion of a second unit is detected based on an output from a second acceleration sensor provided in a second unit separate from the first unit. A game control is performed using the detected motions. Thus, with a game apparatus using a plurality of acceleration sensors or a plurality of sensors capable of detecting a motion a dynamic play is made possible with a high degree of freedom of motion and an intuitive motion input is realized.
Game system and game information storage medium used for same
A game system includes a housing to be held by a player. The housing incorporates an XY-axis acceleration sensor to detect an acceleration in a X-axis direction and a Y-axis direction and a Z-axis contact switch to detect an acceleration in a Z-axis direction. The sensor and switch detect at least one of an amount (e.g., tilt amount, movement amount, impact amount or the like) and a direction (e.g., tilt direction, movement direction, impact direction or the like) of a change applied to the housing. A simulation program provides simulation such that a state of a game space is changed related to at least one of the amount and direction of the change applied to the housing.
6DoF Inside-Out Tracking Game Controller
Methods and apparatus are provided for 6DoF inside-out tracking game control. In one novel aspect, a multi-processor architecture is used for VI-SLAM. In one embodiment, the apparatus obtains overlapping image frames and sensor inputs of an apparatus, wherein the sensor inputs comprise gyrometer data, accelerometer data and magnetometer data, splits computation work onto a plurality of vector processors to obtain six degree of freedom (6DoF) outputs of the apparatus based on a splitting algorithm, and performs a localization process to generate 6DoF estimations, and a mapping process to generate a cloud of three-dimensional points associated to the descriptors of the map. In one embodiment, the localization process and mapping process are configured to run sequentially. In another embodiment, the localization process and mapping process are configured to run in parallel.
Dual sphere foot operated position-based controller
A controller apparatus includes two or more balls having a size sufficient for a human to manipulate with a single foot. Three or more bearings support at least one of the balls from below and permit rotation with respect to at least two axes. One or more position encoders are disposed proximate a surface of each of the two or more balls. The encoders are configured to determine a rotational displacement of each of the two or more balls with respect to two or more axes.
Games Controller
The invention provides an improved controller (10) for a games console. The invention is a games controller (10) that is intended to be held by a user in both hands. Additionally, the controller of the invention (10) may comprise a plurality of controls located on the front and top of the controller. The controller of the present invention (10) is advantageous as it additionally comprises at least one additional control (11 A, 11 B) located on the rear of the controller (10) in a position to be operated by the middle fingers of a user (12). The additional control (11 A, 11 B) may be a paddle lever and may replicate the function of either one of two of the controls located on the front or top of the controller (10).
Operating device
An operating device has an operating shaft, engagement protrusions, and a movable body. The movable body can rotate relative to the operating shaft. The movable body engages with the engagement protrusions at positions separate from its rotation center. The movable body rotates relative to the operating shaft through the engagement with the engagement protrusions according to the translation of the operating shaft. A base abuts against the movable body in the rotational direction of this movable body and receives a force due to the movement of the operating shaft from the movable body. Sensors detect the force acting on the base. According to this, an operating device having a novel structure allowing detection of the translation of the operating shaft is implemented.
Games Controller
The invention provides a controller and an actuator for mounting to a controller, enables a user with access to a plurality (two or more) of control functions from a single actuator. In particular, the present disclosure provides an actuator which in normal use is hidden from view for example, but not limited to, by being mounted to the rear of a controller. It is therefore desirable that the actuator can be readily found by touch and that the user can readily find a desired control function. The actuator comprises a plurality of distinct or distinguishable degrees of freedom of movement, when mounted to the controller, the actuator requires specific actuation gestures, manipulations or actions to activate a desired one of a plurality of control functions associated with the actuator.
SYSTEM, PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE, PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A system includes a portable electronic device including a display and an interface for output of an image to an external display separate from the display, a controller to receive a user operation, one or more processors, and one or more memories to store instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform generating an image in accordance with the user operation onto the controller and obtaining a direction in which the controller is present with respect to the portable electronic device. The generating the image includes generating the image based on the obtained direction when the image is outputted to the display and restricting generation of the image based on the obtained direction when the image is outputted to the external display.
