The melting grate is configured to receive the meltable solid wax. The melting grate is located above at least a portion of the melted wax reservoir so that the wax melted on the melting grate is received into the melted wax reservoir. The melting grate has one or more apertures to allow melted wax to flow through the melting grate and into the melted wax reservoir.

A wax burning system is disclosed. The wax burning system has a meltable solid wax, a melted wax reservoir, a melting grate, and at least one hollow-core wick. The melting grate is configured to receive the meltable solid wax. The melting grate is located above at least a portion of the melted wax reservoir so that the wax melted on the melting grate is received into the melted wax reservoir. The melting grate has one or more apertures to allow melted wax to flow through the melting grate and into the melted wax reservoir.

A candle lamp suitably adapted to burn liquid fuel to support a light-emitting flame, with the candle lamp having an exterior shell that has the appearance of a traditional wax or tallow candle, and a fragrance matrix which provides a fragrance when exposed to the heat of a flame when the candle lamp is in use.
