The method further includes identifying, using the processor, the first peripheral device based on the plurality of touches on the touch surface of the touch-sensitive system that are made by the first peripheral device. The method additionally includes communicating data, using the processor, to a receptive circuit of the first peripheral device in response to the identifying of the first peripheral device.
Controller for interfacing with an interactive application
A controller for interfacing with an interactive application includes an interface region disposed on a surface of a body of the controller. The interface region includes a plurality of interface elements for providing input to the interactive application. One of the interface elements is an input surface that is defined by an indentation and is configured to receive touch input. Plurality of sensors disposed under the input surface detects movement of a finger of a user. Processing circuitry is used to analyze the movement of the finger of the user over the input surface and transmit signals that are used by the interactive application to drive interaction in the interactive application.

Methods and systems are provided for verifying an input provided at a controller including detecting a finger gesture on a surface of the controller. Responsive to detecting the finger gesture, multi-modal data is collected from a plurality of sensors and components tracking the finger gesture. The multi-modal data is used to generate an ensemble model using machine learning algorithm. The ensemble model is trained in accordance to training rules defined for different finger gestures. An output is identified from the ensemble model for the finger gesture. The output is interpreted to define an input for an interactive application selected for interaction.
