Combustion apparatus

In a combustion apparatus including: a burner made up of a burner body and a sheet-metal combustion plate; and a combustion box which has a connection flange part to be coupled to a body flange part in a circumference of the burner body, the combustion box has disposed therein water passages as a cooling means, and a thermal insulation material which overlaps that portion of the combustion plate flange part which faces an inner space of the combustion box. A fixing plate for the thermal insulation material is attached to the combustion plate flange part. The fixing plate is provided with pressing claws for pressing in position the thermal insulation material so as to press and prevent the thermal insulation material from getting released away from the fixing plate. And water passages are disposed in a manner to contact the pressing claws.

Forced-Draft Pre-Mix Burner Device

A forced-draft pre-mix burner device has a housing that conveys air from an upstream cool air inlet to a downstream warm air outlet. A heat exchanger warms the air prior to discharge via the warm air outlet. A gas burner burns an air-gas mixture to thereby warm the heat exchanger. A fan mixes the air-gas mixture and forces the air-gas mixture into the gas burner. The fan has a plurality of blades having sinusoidal-modulated blade spacing.

A burner for an appliance having a blower includes a tube extending from an inlet end to an outlet end with radially extending openings along its length. A cap closes the outlet end in a fluid-tight manner. A mixing system downstream from the blower extends into the inlet end for delivering a pre-mixed mixture of air and fuel to the interior of the tube for ignition by an igniter.

A premixing apparatus has: a fan; an air tube; and a gas tube inside the air tube; provided that a direction toward an air flow upstream side inside the air tube is defined as an X+ direction, an air adjusting valve facing an air inlet port positioned at an end, in the X+ direction, of the air tube; a gas adjusting valve facing a gas outlet port positioned at one end of the gas tube; and a common actuator driving the air adjusting valve and the gas adjusting valve. At an end, in the X direction, of the gas tube, is disposed a valve seat having formed therein the gas outlet port, and a gas adjusting valve inside the gas tube. A valve stem penetrates through an end wall, in the X+ direction, of the gas tube. The gas adjusting valve is driven by the actuator through the valve stem.

Cooktop appliance with a gas burner assembly

A gas burner assembly for a cooktop appliance includes a normally aspirated primary burner and a concentrically-positioned forced air boost burner. A dual-outlet control valve provides a flow of primary fuel to the primary burner through a first outlet and a flow of boost fuel to the boost burner through a second outlet. The boost burner operates by receiving the flow of boost fuel and a flow of combustion air from a forced air supply source only when the primary burner is operating in a low condition.

AIR HEATER

A liquid fuel air heater comprises a housing defining a motor housing portion and a grip portion extending from the motor housing portion. An electric motor is positioned in the motor housing portion. A combustion chamber is at least partially positioned within the motor housing portion. A fan is driven by the motor when activated for generating an axial airflow through the combustion chamber. A battery pack containing a plurality of battery cells connected to each other in a series or parallel arrangement is removably coupled to the grip portion of the housing for supplying power to the motor.

A gas burner assembly for a cooktop appliance and a method for operating the same are provided. The gas burner assembly includes a normally aspirated primary burner, a concentrically-positioned forced air boost burner, a boost valve for regulating a flow of boost fuel to the boost burner, and a forced air supply source for providing a flow of air to the boost burner. The method includes activating the boost burner upon receiving a command and starting a timer. After a predetermined amount of time has passed, e.g., such as ten minutes, the boost burner is extinguished by closing the boost valve to prevent unsafe operating conditions.
