Systems and Methods for Avoiding Harmonic Modes of Gas Burners
20190162408 · 2019-05-30 · ·

A gas burner system has a gas burner with a conduit through which an air-gas mixture is conducted; a variable-speed forced-air device that forces air through the conduit; a control valve that controls a supply of gas for mixture with the air to thereby form the air-gas mixture; and an electrode configured to ignite the air-gas mixture so as to produce a flame. The electrode is further configured to measure a flame ionization current associated with the flame. A controller is configured to actively control the variable-speed forced-air device based on the flame ionization current measured by the electrode so as to automatically avoid a flame harmonic mode of the gas burner. Corresponding methods are provided.

Apparatus and method for a center fuel stabilization bluff body

An apparatus for producing a stabilizing base flame for a premix main burner flame in a burner assembly having a burner end, a first fuel line, a first fuel nozzle, a second fuel line, and a second fuel nozzle. The apparatus comprises a conduit having a first fuel line end in fluid communication with the first fuel line, a second fuel line end in fluid communication with the second fuel line, a valve in fluid communication with the conduit and a center fuel stabilization bluff body mounted in the burner end. The center fuel stabilization bluff body comprises a first ring, a second ring and a cylinder disposed between the first ring and the second ring.

FRESH AIR INTAKE FOR LOW NOx EMISSION FURNACE

A fresh-air intake according to aspects of the disclosure includes an outer cover having a pair of side panels disposed in a generally parallel spaced relationship, a top panel coupled to, and disposed generally perpendicular to, each panel of the pair of side panels, a bottom panel disposed generally parallel to the top panel, and a front panel coupled to, and disposed generally perpendicular to, each panel of the pair of side panels and the top panel, the front panel having a window formed therein, a supply line coupled to the bottom panel, a weir extending above the bottom panel and surrounding a junction with the supply line, a baffle disposed inside the outer cover, the baffle being disposed inwardly of the window so as to prevent infiltration of moisture into the supply line, and a weep hole formed in the bottom panel.

Burner device for heating apparatus

A burner device (190) comprising an air intake, a burner head (192) including an ignition device, a body section (196) defining a fluid flow channel between said air intake and said burner head (192), and a gas injector (205) for injecting combustible gas into said fluid flow channel. The burner head (192) is oriented such that its longitudinal axis is substantially perpendicular to the plane in which the channel is defined and in which fluid flows, in use, along said channel.

COOKTOP APPLIANCE WITH A GAS BURNER ASSEMBLY
20190056115 · 2019-02-21 ·

A gas burner assembly for a cooktop appliance includes a normally aspirated primary burner and a concentrically-positioned forced air boost burner. A dual-outlet control valve provides a flow of primary fuel to the primary burner through a first outlet and a flow of boost fuel to the boost burner through a second outlet. The boost burner operates by receiving the flow of boost fuel and a flow of combustion air from a forced air supply source only when the primary burner is operating in a low condition.

A burner has: a combustion plate part through which air-fuel mixture is ejected; and a flame rod which lies opposite to a portion of the combustion plate part. The combustion plate part is constituted by: a burner frame in a shape of a picture frame; a metal-fiber knit which covers an opening enclosed by the burner frame; and a distribution plate which has formed therein a multiplicity of distribution holes and which sandwiches the metal-fiber knit between the burner frame and the distribution plate so that the air-fuel mixture is ejected from the opening through the distribution holes and the metal-fiber knit. Flame holes for ejecting the air-fuel mixture are formed in a portion of the burner frame, and the flame rod is disposed so as to lie opposite to that portion of the burner frame which has formed therein the flame holes.
