Cooktop appliance temperature sensor with transient temperature correction
A cooktop appliance includes a gas burner, a user input configured to define a power setting of the gas burner, and a grate. The grate includes a sensor finger with a temperature sensor mounted thereto. The temperature sensor includes a first temperature probe extending above a top surface of the sensor finger and a second temperature probe positioned within the sensor finger. The cooktop appliance also includes a controller in communication with the temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is configured to transmit a first temperature measurement from the first temperature probe and a second temperature measurement from the second temperature probe to the controller. The controller is configured to determine a temperature of a cooking utensil positioned on the top surface of the sensor finger based on the power setting defined by the user input, the first temperature measurement, and the second temperature measurement.
Method For Evaluating A Sensor-Detectable Transient Pressure Difference On A Gas Boiler And Associated Gas Boiler
A method for evaluating a sensor-detectable transient pressure difference on a gas boiler. The sensor detects a differential pressure at a measurement point upstream of the main flow restrictor (3) and downstream of the control valve (2) and a reference pressure and transmits it to the evaluation electronics. The sensor detects a differential pressure course and transmits it to the evaluation electronics, during variation of heat output and/or when the heat output is adjusted to the predetermined value. The evaluation electronics evaluates the differential pressure course over its time range and/or its frequency range. At least one characteristic value is determined and compared with a predetermined comparison value. If the characteristic value deviates from the comparison value, an error of the gas boiler is recognized.

Food cooking unit
Food cooking unit composed of gas burners (1), regulation electrovalves (3) of the supplied gas; an infrared sensor (5) focused towards the cooking zone; a thermocouple (6) in thermal contact with the flames and in connection with a safety electrovalve (4) through a relay (10) and an electronic control device (7) connected to said infrared sensor (5), to said at least one regulating electrovalve (3) and the relay (10) and that stores different regulation programs and that regulates the regulating electrovalve (3) and/or interrupts the thermocouple connection with the safety electrovalve in response to the signals obtained from the infrared sensor (5) and/or the thermocouple (6), and issues warnings in response to signals from the thermocouple (6).
Control method of gas furnace
A method of controlling a gas furnace comprising a gas valve for supplying a fuel gas to a manifold; a burner through which the fuel gas discharged from the manifold passes; an igniter for igniting a mixture of fuel gas passed through the burner and air; and an inducer for generating a flow in which a combustion gas generated by the burning of the mixture is discharged to an exhaust pipe via a heat exchanger, wherein the gas furnace performs a heating operation according to a heating signal or a heating stop according to a stop signal, includes the steps of: (a) receiving any one of the heating signal or the stop signal; (b) transmitting a signal to operate the inducer when the heating signal is received; (c) operating the igniter; (d) transmitting a signal to open the gas valve; (e) detecting whether the gas valve is opened or closed; (f) detecting a flow rate of the fuel gas in the manifold; and (g) displaying a normal operation of the heating operation, based on information detected in the steps (e) and (f).
Gas valve with electronic valve proving system
Valve assemblies may be configured to perform a valve proving test as part of an operational cycle of a combustion appliance coupled to the valve assembly. The valve assembly may include a valve body having a fluid path, first and second valves situated in the fluid path, first and second valve actuators, and a pressure sensor in fluid communication with an intermediate volume of the fluid path between the first and second valves. A valve controller may monitor a measure related to a pressure in the intermediate volume. The valve controller may then output a signal if the measure related to the pressure in the intermediate volume meets and/or exceeds a threshold value, where the threshold value is determined based on a measure related to an initial pressure in the intermediate volume and a known test duration.

Burner gun with safety switch
A burner gun includes a case, an ignition device, a switch and a operational part. By the switch and an operation rail in the case, the ignition device can only be activated by correctly operating the switch and pulling the operational part. The ignition device cannot activated by pulling the operational part if the switch is not correctly operated, so that the ignition device is prevented from being activated unintentionally to reduce possibility of causing fire disasters.

Gas cooking appliance with ignition position indicator
A cooking appliance and method generate an audible and/or visual indication to a user when a user control for a gas burner is in a position within which an igniter is active and a gas valve is supplying sufficient gas flow to the gas burner to support ignition and thereby assist a user in properly positioning the user control during ignition of the burner.
