Information processing device, control method of information processing device, and program
An information processing device obtains information regarding the position of each fingertip of a user in a real space, and determines contact between a virtual object set within a virtual space and a finger of the user. The information processing device sets the virtual object in a partly deformed state such that a part of the virtual object, the part corresponding to the position of the finger determined to be in contact with the object among the fingers of the user, is located more to a far side from a user side than the finger, and displays the virtual object having the shape set thereto as an image in the virtual space on a display device.
EYEBALL MOVEMENT DETECTION DEVICE
An eyeball movement detection device (1) detects an eyeball movement of an eye in a side-to-side direction on the basis of a time shift in difference between an output from a far-infrared sensor (11) having directivity to an edge of an exposed surface of an eyeball on the side of the inner corner of the eye and an output from a far-infrared sensor (12) having directivity to an edge of the exposed surface of the eyeball on the side of the outer corner of the eye. This makes it possible to detect an eyeball movement in a noncontact manner, with a light weight, and with low power consumption.
Control of wager-based game using gesture recognition
Various techniques are described for controlling a wager-based game played at a gaming system. In one embodiment the gaming system may include a gesture input interface device operable to detect movements gestures associated with one or more persons, and a gesture interpretation component operable to identify selected movements or gestures detected by the gesture input interface device. In one embodiment, the gesture interpretation component may also be operable to generate gesture interpretation information relating to interpretation of the selected movements or gestures. In one embodiment, the gaming system may be operable to automatically detect a gesture by a player participating in a game session at the gaming system; interpret the gesture with respect to a set of criteria; generate gesture interpretation information relating to the interpretation of the gesture; and advance a state of the game session using at least a portion of the gesture interpretation information.
Safety scheme for gesture-based game
Technologies are generally described for providing a notification to a player playing a gesture-based game of a potentially dangerous condition. In some examples, a safety component of a gesture-based game system includes a gesture range determination unit configured to determine a gesture range associated with a gesture-based game; a detection unit configured to detect a movement of an object; and an alarm unit configured to generate an alarm in response to a determination based on the movement of the object which is within the gesture range.
Information processing apparatus, information processing system, computer-readable non-transitory storage medium having stored therein information processing program, and information processing method
An example information processing apparatus including an infrared light emitter capable of emitting infrared light and a camera capable of at least taking an infrared light image is provided. In the information processing apparatus, when face detection has been successful with the infrared light emitted, emission of the infrared light is stopped, and a face detection process with the emission stopped is executed. As a result, when face detection has been successful, the face detection process is continued with emission of the infrared light stopped, and when face detection has been failure, the infrared light is emitted and the face detection process is continued.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING THE VALUE OF AN INPUT IN PRESENCE OF A PERTURBING FACTOR
The present invention concerns a method and a device for estimating the value of an input in a real-time system. It concerns more particularly real time interactive systems where the input is tracked using a first sensor, typically a camera in presence of a perturbing factor. The perturbing factor is estimated using a second sensor. The component of input computed values due to the perturbing factor are cancelled based on this estimation. A next input value is then estimated from the previous computed input values where the perturbing factor has been cancelled. The estimation is then corrected by applying back the estimation of the perturbing factor.
METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR DETERMINING HOMING POSITION OF GAME GUN ON DISPLAY SCREEN
Disclosed are a method and an electronic device for determining a homing position of a game gun on a display screen. The method includes: when detecting that a binocular camera accesses, a multicolor filter in the binocular camera is controlled to change colors, the binocular camera is controlled to acquire images of different colors of light spots on a screen of a display screen; identifier information of a plurality of current game guns corresponding to the light spots in the acquired images are determined; and homing positions of the plurality of current game guns on the screen are respectively determined according to the acquired images of the light spots, parameters of the binocular camera, a screen display parameter of the screen and position information between the camera and the plurality of current game guns.
Systems and methods for providing feedback to a user while interacting with content
Systems and methods for providing feedback to a user are described. One of the methods includes sending interactive data for rendering on a head mounted display (HMD). The HMD is configured for attachment to a head of a user for playing a game. The method further includes receiving image data associated with a body part of the user while the HMD is worn by the user and the HMD renders interactive content. The method includes tracking a spatial position associated with the body part of the user from the image data of the user. In the method, physical placement of a remote-controlled device at the spatial position associated with the body part of the user is rendered in the HMD as virtual contact with an object in the interactive content.
Information input/output device, and medium, using dot patterns with at least two kinds of inks with different reaction characteristic
To achieve an information output device in which information of a medium disposed on a stage surface can be surely and efficiently read out, and a stage effect and a security are high. In the information output device, media are disposed on a stage surface in a state where the media are opposite to the stage surface, the media where dot patterns are printed on medium surfaces on the basis of a predetermined rule, the dot patterns are read by imaging units disposed in a space below the stage and converted into code values or coordinate values indicating the dot patterns from photographed images obtained by the imaging units, and information corresponding to the code values or the coordinate values is outputted. Further, light transmitting reading holes are respectively provided at a plurality of medium disposing locations on the stage surface, and the imaging units are disposed in the space below the stage corresponding the respective reading holes such that the imaging units photograph the medium surfaces of the media disposed on the reading holes.
Controller for interfacing with a computing program using position, orientation, or motion
A method for determining the position of a controller device, comprises: receiving dimensions of the display input by a user of the computer-based system; capturing successive images of the display at the controller device; determining a position of the controller device relative to the display based on the dimensions of the display and a perspective distortion of the display in the captured successive images of the display; providing the determined position of the controller to the computer-based system to interface with the interactive program to cause an action by the interactive program.
